[Naruto X OC]

[Chapter 1]

The Rokudaime sighed. Just before he left for a break the table was empty. And now it was stacked with paperwork again. Sitting down in his chair, Kakashi whipped out his Make-Out Tactics. Might as well do some reading, since no one was looking.

"Lord Sixth." a shinobi politely bowed in front of him, causing him to jump and hide his book. So much for 'no one was looking'.

"Yes?" He asked, trying to keep a professional look.

"As to your request we have interrogated the two rouge ninjas from the Sand and the Rock already. Afterwards, we sent them back to their respective villages for execution."

"Good. What are the results?"

"They said that they didn't have a hideout, for they didn't stay in one place for long periods of time. Other members of their group included two rouge ninjas from the Hidden Mist, four from the Hidden Rock and one from the Hidden Sand. They also mentioned something about a weapon they were going to use against Konoha."

"As expected." Of all his years of being Jonin, how many times must this be repeated?

"But sir, this is not what we expected. Their weapon is not a scroll, not some secret jutsu but instead it's a girl. A girl named Sayuri, who has been 'given' to them."

"Sayuri?" Kakashi repeated.

"Yes. I suspect that they are talking about the S-class missing-nin Sayuri.  It's just a hunch but I hope that is not the case. If it is so, we are treading on thin ice, sir."

There was a pregnant pause before Kakashi continued, "Is there any other mission ongoing in your team?"

"Yes sir. We have three A-class missions we are currently working on."

"Then you may continue with those three missions. Leave this mission to me. I'll handle it from here on. You might have too much on your plate already."

"B-but sir, how about the mission?"

"I have a certain trio who might be able to help out on this. You may leave now."

"Thank you sir."

The shinobi bowed again and hastily left, eager to tell his comrades about the good news.

"Lemme guess, you're gonna ask me to deliver something again, right?" A puff of smoke cleared, leaving a small pug standing, a bored expression on his face.

"Ah, right on time. Just give me a few minutes. I need to write a letter." Kakashi took out a piece of paper, scribbled a few words on it and passed it to Pakkun, who rolled his eyes, took the note in his mouth, and ran out of the Hokage's office.

Kakashi followed minutes later, peeking round the door. Closing it quietly, he dashed back and fished out his guilty pleasure.

"Ah, finally peace and quiet. Now where was I? I think it was page 394......or was it?"

"One more bowl of ramen please!"

"Woah, woah. Slow down. You are going to choke!" One pink haired girl advised.

"Well, I just finished a mission! You can't blame me for being hungry, can you, Sakura-chan?" Naruto shot her a look.

"I-, you know what, just shut up and eat before I punch you again!" Sakura sighed.

The odd duo were having lunch at Ichiraku's, having completed an A-rank mission. Surprisingly, they worked pretty well together.

"Woof woof!"

"Hm?" Sakura made a sound od confusion. "Pakkun! What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here?!" Pakkun snorted. "I'm here to give you some note from Kakashi of course!" Strutting up to Sakura, he passed her the note and huffed, "I literally searched the whole of Konoha for you!"

"Oh. Doesn't seem surprising. You are Kakashi's messenger dog who does not want to lose to some ink bird, aren't you? So I guess the whole of Konoha shouldn't be much of a problem for you, Dattebayo?" Naruto teased in between bites of his ramen.

An eye-roll was the only answer he received.

"Hey Pakkun, thanks for bringing this here." Sakura thanked him, eyes not leaving the note.

"If you actually want to thank me, get me some of that shampoo of yours."

"As if!"

"So, Sakura-chan, what does the note say?" Naruto asked whilst walking. They had left Ichiraku's, after a few more bowls of ramen. The sky was blue, with a hint of orange streaking it.

"I just told you, cha!"

"But, Sakura-chan, I forgot!"

"You know what, here's the note. I'm tired of reading it to you." Sakura sighed. "I'm heading home. See you tomorrow!"

"See you tomorrow, Sakura-chan! Now, what does this note say?"

Dear Naruto and Sakura,

Meet me at my office at 5am tomorrow. I need to tell you something important.

Kakashi

"Well, I guess I'm gonna get home and sleep." Naruto decided.

(In some place far far away...)

"Well well, I think we've been found."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"By whom?"

"Two of our comrades have been caught by this guy called Sasuke. Heard that they're going to be dead by tomorrow evening."

"So now what? Grab one of them Leaf shinobi hostage?"

"No I don't think so. Boss didn't say so."

"Then what'd he say, doofus?"

"He said somethin' about sacrificing someone to save another someone."

"Sounds like somethin' from Jashin."

"True. He's never gotten over the fact that that boy Hidan got the immortality."

"Anyways, what's our next step?"

"Our next step, is to wait, he said."

"Now that's boring."

"Boss's orders. Not mine."
