quatervois; a crossroads, a critical decision or turning point in one's life.

It was one hot, sunny day in the city of Adarlan. Standing in front of an apartment building was an ethereal beauty, Cassandrea. Stood there, she was waiting for her little brother to arrive. Though she was just twelve minutes elder, she loved to call him her little brother.
Eight years ago she had left this part of the city to live on the other side where crimes were an everyday nuisance. As magnificent as the city was, the crimes were a huge part too. Despite all this, even that side of Adarlan was nothing but beautiful. Every inch of he city was always dreamy, it was the people that were sinful.
Waiting for her brother she couldn't help but laugh at her situation. She was going for a job interview in the very company she was the heiress to. This was going to be the major turning point of her life. She was sure nothing would remain the same as soon as she had entered this part of the city and it was a fact she had gladly accepted.
She was here to take back her throne.
As she stood waiting, a gorgeous red car was speeding towards where she stood but came to a sudden stop right next to her. As the window rolled down she couldn't help but roll her eyes too.
"Must you always come so bloody dramatically brother? Driving like a normal person and not a lunatic is not in your books, is it?" She said annoyed by his antics.
"It's lovely to see you too sister." He replied sarcastically.
"You could have just told me the apartment number and I would have gotten inside. You did say there was someone living there already."
"Wow! I see you after months and this is how you greet me. I can just feel the amount of love you have for me." He bites back rather dramatically.
"Come here you wanker." She says as she engulfs him in a tight hug.
"You know I love you right?" She says as she looks directly into his eyes.
She always felt guilty about the fact she never go to tell her parents how much she loved and appreciated them. Everytime her parents would say those three words to her she would just roll her eyes and give them a kiss. Hence why she had made sure she would never make that mistake again with her brother."And I you." He replies pulling her into a tight hug once again.
Though she was the elder one it was no surprise that he had engulfed her completely in his strong arms. He was over six feet tall where as she was just five feet seven inches. Her height was no where near short but the people she is surrounded by sure as hell make it seem so.
"Come on now. Show me to my humble abode. Tomorrow's a very important day. A start to end it all. I better unpack today and rest for a while if tomorrow should go successfully." She says as she frees herself and drags him along towards the elevators.
"Right. Don't want a grumpy Cassie early in the morning tomorrow." He teases while ruffling her hair.
She ignores him as the elevator reaches to a stop and walks away.
"Do you even know where you are headed over to?" He asks amused by his sister's irritation.
"Nathaniel Octavius Crimson! Tease me again and I'll make sure you regret it for the rest of the day." She threatens him.
"There you go with the full name shit again. Apartment number 803."
It wasn't that hard was it." She says as she taps his cheek.
He simply swats her hand away and walks towards the door while grabbing her bags in both his hands. He drops them infront of the door that has a black plate with the number 803 glimmering on it. He them walks away towards the elevators.
"Where you going Nate?" Cassie asks him.
"Well, someone should bring up her highness' bags right?" He replies with a sarcastic smile.
"Off you go peasant." She dismisses him with her wave and turns towards the door that hasn't been opened yet.
Already tired from her long journey, her patience was riding on a thin line. She then loudly banged on the door with her fist after not being able to wait any longer. As she stood there waiting impatiently, the wooden door finally opened and revealed a man probably of her age.
He was a good looking man. He was cute yet hot and sexy. His hair a wet mess. He wasn't wearing anything other than a towel round his waist that was hanging very low and left very little to imagine. Cassie couldn't help but stare. She didn't find anything wrong in staring at the perfectly carved human in front of her.
"Ahem." The man cleared his throat as he himself had snapped out of his trance. Who wouldn't stare at the beautiful woman in front of him. She really was one hell of a kind. Full rosy lips, long eyelashes, doe-like green eyes, her curvaceous body. He found himself resisting his strong urge to run his hands all over that sexy, curvaceous body.
Coming out of her own trance by the sudden clearing of throat she looked up into the man's eyes. She was no where near embarrassed at being caught. She simply pushed him inside whilst dragging her bags inside along with her and took a seat on the couch in the living room.
He was astonished by how the woman was casually lounging on his couch so naturally that if he hadn't known better he would assume she had been living here for quite some time now.
"Do wear some clothes before we could sit and talk." She spoke out.
Still stunned by what had happened, he silently went into his room to change into a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt.
