July 31st, 1991
Diagon Alley, London
Today I got my wand! I got a 12 1/2 inch. Pretty cool, huh? I'm about to go meet up with Draco for some more shopping in Diagon Alley. I'm super excited to finally go to Hogwarts! Imagine the future I'd get to have. Whew, it's a lot. I'm thinking of what pet I should get. Father told me he would get me a pet for school! I'm thinking of maybe a cat? No, no a owl! Ahh, I'll think of one once I'm able to. Oh it's almost time! I'll be on my way."
I walk past the shops holding my father's hand.
"I can't decide what pet I should get, father." I say looking up to him.
"Don't worry, Diana. We'll see which one you'd like once we get there," he says, looking down at me.
"Draco!" I yell. Running to give him a big hug.
"Hi Diana! It's been so long," he says back with a smile, excited we finally get to reunite.
"Yes it has! Shall we go to the shops?" I ask.
"Of course," he replies. "I heard that Potter is coming this year, yuck." Draco says.
I never really agreed or understood to how the Malfoy's and my parents didn't like Potter. I've always looked up to him, he's a legend!
"I guess so, yuck..." I lie, hoping he believes my "hatred."

"Father, look!" I say pointing to the pure black cat staring back at me.
"Can we get the adorable fluffy cat?" I ask crouching down and looking up to my father.
Draco giggles, saying I look hilarious.
"Sweetheart, wouldn't it be hard to find in the dark?" He replies.
"Alright... can we get that one?" I point quickly as a beautiful, white and brown owl with the most gorgeous eyes stand there, in it's cage.
"Very gorgeous, yes! We will get the owl." He says as he walks over to the owl to pay for it.
"What shall you name it, Diana?" Draco asks.
"I'd like to name her Margaret." I say standing up proudly crossing my arms.
Draco laughs. "That's disgusting!"
"Oh and you'd pick a lovely name?" I scoff and start walking out of the shop.
