I startle awake from the nightmare I just had, hearing my name being called seconds after, seeing that Sir Leon was next to me now, I notice it's still dark outside so when I looked at the clock on the fireplace mantel when I finally got up from my bed with the help of Sir Leon. I notice that it's about 3 in the morning.
"Get me, Merlin, now!" I exclaim to him as he bows to me and rushes out of my room and down to Merlin and Gaius chambers are located in the castle. Minutes pass as soon as I see Merlin walking into my chambers.
"My Lady, what's the matter?" He asks, Gaius is here as well, but talking with Sir Leon. Gaius tells him to leave to give us privacy now.
"He's going to use the shield to hurt someone in the tournament. I know it!"
I cry out to the two of them, I was so scared for whatever knight has to face Knight Valiant next, and hoping that Arthur doesn't go against him too. I didn't realize I grabbed Merlin in a hug until this moment. I slowly calm down enough to let him go now as I wipe the tears from my eyes when Emma comes in with the dress that I'm going to be wearing today at the tournament and sets it across the back of the chair that's across the table from where I'm sitting right now. She then bows her head at me respectfully before she leaves after I tell her that will be all.
After a while, Gaius goes back to his chambers at around 5:30 ish from what I could tell because of the clock I have in here. Merlin stays for a little longer just to make sure I was okay now before he leaves to get Arthur's armor from the Amory. I eat a small breakfast at the dining table I have in my chambers. Emma takes away my plate right after I'm done with it, I leave seeing Merlin about to go over to Arthurs' chambers with his arms full of his armor. I knocked on the door for Merlin, hearing a slight
"Come in."
From the other side of it, I open it for him now. He smiles before walking over to where he puts all of Arthur's armor on the table and Arthur's dressed in his gambeson.
"You did all this on your own?" He asks Merlin with a slightly surprised look on his face. Merlin smiles at me slightly I try to hide my smile as well.
"Yes, Sire." Merlin says.
"Oh, good morning Mira you look lovely this morning as well." Arthur says smiling towards me now, I do the same back at him as if saying thank you.
"Now let's see if you can get me into it without forgetting anything."
He smirks slightly thinking it will end in a terrible way. Merlin gets to work as he puts on Arthur's hauberk and surcoat, followed by the gorget, vambraces, pauldron, and couter. Next, his mail coif, belt, sword belt, dagger, and sword. Merlin hands Arthur his helmet. I was surprised as well as Arthur was from what I could see on his face.
"That was much better. Not that it could have got any worse." Arthur says to him this time. I glared at Arthur slightly at this point. He doesn't notice it at all though.
"I'm a fast learner." Merlin says with a smile. I should've known that Gwen taught him about armor and how to put it on. I just smile back at him and a quick thumbs up at him as well before Arthur could see it.
"I hope, for your sake, that's true." Arthur says to him, making my smile drop, and a slight glare towards him again because he said that kind of meanly to Merlin.
"Merlin, can you give me and Mira a moment to talk?" Arthur asks him, as he nods then leaves the room closing the doors.
"Art-"
"Why did I see Leon walking you out of the banquet hall yesterday night, is everything alright with you Mira?"
Arthur interrupts me, I could see the worry in his eyes before I looked down at my hands. I think back to the way I saw Arthur look at me when Morgana and I had to make conversation with Knight Valiant. And even the way Valiant would stare at me during the first day of the matches.
