God, I hate him.
I'm Benjamin Warren, the ex-most popular guy at Clearwater High. Yes, ex. I also used to be dating the hottest girl in school but, she was taken away along with my title, by Henry Wang. Now my only friend is the ever-studious student body president, Gwen Parker.
Unfortunately for me, my first-period human psychology class was one without her. As the professor prepared her lesson, I distracted myself by disinterestedly rolling my pencil back and forth along the top of my desk. Looking up, Henry Wang and my ex-girlfriend stroll up to the classroom door.
Fantastic.
I avert my eyes, groaning and burying my head in my desk hoping they don't notice me. Glancing up, my green eyes meet empty, black ones. If you look close enough, you'll see where all light escapes, darkness that sucks up your soul. Wang sits right in front of me, eyes meeting mine, resting his head on my desk. A devious smirk spreads across his face.
Damn bastard.
I frown, pushing his face away from mine. Looks like Hannah went back to her class without spotting me. Sadly, I can't say the same for Wang.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Wang says mockingly as he shakes my shoulder. I hide my head deeper into my sleeve, hoping he goes away. Before he can utter another word out of his stupid mouth, he's startled by the ringing of the school bell, signaling the start of class. Peering up once I don't feel his sharp eyes watching me anymore, I try to pay attention to my lecture. Saved by the bell.
I found it difficult to take down my notes with Wang in front of me. His giant-ass head blocked the board, and him just sitting in front of me gave me a headache. I review my notes as the professor begins to pass out our tests.
God this dude sucks.
Looking up at the clock, I realize I have five minutes left. I quickly answer my last problem, huffing in relief. I've been caught on this subject for weeks, after nights of downing 5-hour energy and drooling on textbooks I think I've finally figured it out.
I fix my posture and avert my eyes as she takes my test, sensing that Wang is peering back at me.
"Alright class, your homework for this weekend is to write a three-page essay."
Three-page essay? Could this be any easier? She drags on about what we are assigned, something regarding making friends. That may make writing this a bit harder.
I quickly scrawl out an idea, blowing out a deep breath. I'll get this bitch done tomorrow. I slap my textbook down on the desk, slumping back into the chair. I close my eyes and my mind begins to wander.
I can't believe I'm letting this asshole get to me. Sooner or later I think my self-esteem is going to take damage. Next to Wang, my skills are nothing short of mediocre. Second place isn't impressive to hot babes.
It's all or nothing.
I can't help but think that there's some sort of conspiracy going on. Maybe this is someone's attempt at knocking me off my throne. I mean why else would anyone commit such a cruel crime against someone so humble and amazing as myself?
The bell rings again and I make a break for the hallway before Wang can approach me. I gently place my class notes in my bag and breathe deeply. This is going to be a long morning.

Cafeteria food is ass. Random items floating around the plate like lost souls in the river Styx. The food combos make no sense. The smell is always putrid and the flavor is nonexistent. In short, the food here is ass.
