Izuku P.O.V.
I went back up the stairs to my room, not being able to face my classmates at this point. 'They sorta find out! I understand I look more pathetic than ever but they shouldn't care. They are smart, so they probably won't want to get involved more in this. Please let that be the case, it will be easier for them and for me. They can stop pretending and I can ju- "Hey Deku, are you in there?" Uraraka's voice stopped my low voiced muttering and made my head spin in the direction of the door. Why was she here? Wasn't she downstairs a few minutes ago? Why did I go downstairs in the first place before? 'Drip'. A small droplet of blood hit the floor, coming from the fresh wound near my elbow, not as deep as some of the others, but noticeable enough to make me wince after I remembered what had happened in the sink a few minutes back. I didn't answer Uraraka, hoping she would just leave, but if the shadow coming from the other side of the door was anything to go by, she was patiently waiting for me to answer. However, all I did was pray she wouldn't try and open the door to my room, as I hadn't locked it when I got in.
"Look Deku.... I want to talk, maybe even help you. You haven't been the same since All Might left to I-island and those black tendrils appeared out of your arm. Even since the raid to save Eri you've been different. And, not in the best way..." Sorrow was becoming more apparent in the tone of her voice the longer she spoke, but she shouldn't be here, nor should she be worrying. No one did back then, so why should they now? I thought it was better not to answer, but I heard something back up against my door, and then the shadow becoming wider underneath the light that threatened to enter from beneath the door. "I don't know about your past, but Bakugo said that you may have gone through something similar when you were younger. Maybe your friends from back then can help, or maybe we can help you now, but you need to let us do so. None of us really believe when you say you are okay." It was funny how Kacchan would not throw his chance to be a hero and tell them that he had no friends back in middle school, nor that he was the cause of some experiences.
Third person P.O.V.
Uraraka sat there, waiting for an answer, while the rest of the squad that had talked earlier went on with their daily lifestyle after all making a promise that they would do their best to help their friend face his demons, and maybe even uncover part of his past. However, after a few minutes, she gave up, knowing that Deku could be as stubborn as Bakugo sometimes. It was something many could consider both one of his greatest assets and his heaviest downfall, as the conflict at hand could have possibly been resolved by now if it weren't for his inability to accept help. He had always faced the world on his own, even its darkest parts due to his quirkless state in the past, so he had his mind set on continuing alone on his emotional journey. He had never spoken to anyone about it, not even his own mother, but that would had made him think he is weaker. He sat down on his bed as he saw the shadow disappear, and decided that toilet paper surrounding his wounds and pressed tightly with a rubber band should be enough for the night.
Uraraka arrived at the common area, finding surprisingly a small amount of her classmates as some had probably gone back to their own rooms to relax or finish some due homework. She did notice the punk rock girl leaning on the wall of the staircase to the girls side of the dorms while playing with her earphone jack, as if she had nothing better to do, and was lost in her own thoughts. She approached her, and tapped her on the shoulder with a quick "Jiro, you okay?" that seemed to get the attention of said girl while her eyes slightly widen, unnoticeable from a distance. "Yeah, um... look, I want to help. And I am probably not the only one." "What do yo-" "Help Midoriya, that's what I mean." She had to make herself clear, as Uraraka was taken by surprise to see that someone outside the normal friend group that Deku had created wanted to help out, but she was probably right on her not being the only one. "Look, these ears pick up on almost anything, and Bakugo isn't exactly the quietest person, so I'll be on the lookout. Midoriya helped me with the organization of the festival and didn't even consider saying no, and I am pretty sure he helped others with more serious stuff, so think about telling more of our classmates."
Uraraka could only watch as Jiro spun, gave her a wave, and made her way to the her room up the stairs. She was speechless, but had to agree on what the talented girl said, as Deku had given help to those who asked for it without even hesitating, while also doing it for those that didn't even know they needed it in the first place, just like Todoroki. It wasn't that she just wanted to return the favor either, it was genuine inspiration that the green haired boy emitted throughout the short amount of time they had known him. Those who saw him at the night of the training camp understood why it was that he inspired others to do better, because he himself could not live with his own failures as a hero. HE had managed to save Kota in one of the most impressive displays of strength, but HE also felt the guilt of Bakugo being captured, hence why he went to rescue him. It was no secret that stories of how the self destructive boy was probably one of the most approachable and hard working student at U.A., but that statement also held true for the fact that he no longer held a spark behind his emerald eyes.
