Chapter 2: Of Blondes And Steel Claws

"So what now?" I asked Hailey, becoming more relieved.

"First, we need t-" She began.

"Hey! Over here!" Said a voice from afar, cutting Hailey off before she could finish her sentence.

We looked over to where the voice was coming from and noticed a very recognizable person. It doesn't take a genius to know who would have such magnificent blonde hair...

"Cynthia! It's Cynthia!" Taylor said happily.

Cynthia ran over to us as fast as possible and hurriedly climbed the ladder.

"Ok... you are the only hope for the entire world... I need you to defeat Giratina," Cynthia said, worried we might decline.

"Wait, what? Me?" I asked, mesmerized.

"Yes. You're Jayden Flynn, aren't you? I've heard many things about you. Your passion for battling could even surpass mine someday. But I have important things to do as champion, and that begins with keeping everyone else in Sinnoh safe. Will you help save the world?"

"Hell yeah! But there is one problem...how exactly are we going to defeat Giratina?" I asked, excited but confused.

"Ok...Palkia and Dialga are nowhere to be found, but in the other five regions of the world, there are other legendary Pokemon, just like Giratina. Their power is unmatched, and they're only ones powerful enough to stop Giratina. I need you guys to catch them.

"I called someone to pick you guys up; he should be here any minute now. He will take you guys to the Hoenn region, and you will receive further instructions there." Cynthia said, feeling less worried.

"Seems good to me..." I said, filled with excitement but still a bit nervous.

"Dammit..." Cynthia suddenly mumbled, looking over to Giratina. "Look...Giratina's absorbing all the life he just took...and that force field around him...it makes it unable to hurt him..." Cynthia said, speaking in a normal tone now.

We looked over to Giratina. He had a mystical force field surrounding him, and it seemed like he was in a deep sleep. He also seemed to be absorbing something.

"Ok, you don't have much time. Giratina will have full power in about 2 weeks," Cynthia said. "Hopefully that's enough time..."

Cynthia let out a deep breath, feeling relieved. She was looking at the ocean.

"There he is! Now go! You need all the time possible!" Cynthia said urgently.

We looked over to the ocean, and there was a large ship approaching.

"Here we go guys...this is it." We ran towards the ladder.

Cynthia called just before we began to climb down.

"One last thing, if you ever do need me again, I'll be in the battle frontier, along with the survivors. Also your sister is coming with me. It's too dangerous." Cynthia said.

"What!? No! You'll never take my sister! You won't and can't separate us!" I screamed, angry at such a ridiculous command.

"Do you not understand how dangerous this is!? You can't take your sister with you! Are you insane!?" Cynthia said.

"I'm going to travel the world to try to defeat Giratina...Yeah, I'd say I'm pretty insane," I said, being a smartass.

I chuckled and went down the ladder.

When we arrived near the ship, there was a old man at the front of the ship. He had a long jacket, but no shirt. He also had a captain's hat.

"Hey...it's Drake from the Hoenn elite four! He trains the dragon type!" Hailey said with a smile on her face.

Drake let out a laugh and waved at us.

"Climb aboard! We're heading to Hoenn!Cynthia told me of our dire situation, so we won't be long!" Drake said. He had a very raspy voice.

"Oh yeah!" Colin said happily.

"Woohoo!" Taylor said, jumping up and down and pumping her fist in the air.

We all got on the ship and took a look around.

"Ok listen here. There's some cabins down this hall. You all should get some sleep," Drake said.

"Ok, thank you." I said with a smile on my face.

I entered a random cabin and immediately plopped down on the bed. I took a deep breath and slowly fell asleep, highly anticipating our 2 week journey.
