The Questions

Ben's POV

"Oh where are my manners, hello Erica" Catherine said completely changing the mood of the conversation 

"Um... hello" I said in a way that made them think I was uncomfortable 

"Hello Ben," she said in a very firm tone, which was odd considering how nice Catherine usually was. 

"Umm mom can I speak to you for a minute" Erica said equally uncomfortable

Erica's POV 

I signaled her to come down the stairs, Ben gave me an odd look but I, unfortunately, had to tell her something. 

We walked down the stairs a little bit and then I blurted out, 

"Please don't be mad but you know when I told you that ben left me?" just go with it, it will all make sense soon 

"Sadly yes" she responded 

"Well turns out I kind of left him" 

"wwhhaa-" she said very shocked 

"Well actually we weren't really to together" 

she was starting to turn pale. As if British people can't get any paler lol 

"But you said he was your dream boy, and, and, you- what about or late-night talks and when we went over our day and you were so happy and- you weren't the ice queen anymore and, and, and- BERICA" she nearly screamed, I was sure Ben had heard that

"Mom please stop I know what I said I'm sorry, it's just that I couldn't tell him I I I-"

"Don't want to be hurt again" she finished

I sighed 

"Am I that predictable?" 

"Well yes, your motto is I'll kill you if you tell anyone"

I smirked 

"Just please don't embarrass me, I kind of sort of think Ben's a little hot" 

She suddenly lost any sadness and smiled brightly 

"Whoa that was quite the turn when you got here you just said you liked him, and now he's hot??"

I blushed I thought about trying to change the subject, but that never worked with Catherine unless she was not liking it either. 

She smirked again 

"Mommmmmmm" I said like a 5-year-old trying to get a dessert 

"Okay okay I'll only mention like half of this to him

"Mooooommmmmmmm" I said longer than the first one

"Fine fine I'll never bring to up to him" 

"Thank you," I said happily with my bargain. 

Then there was a quick silence and she said 

We should get back to Ben he probably thinks we got captured 

One walk up the stairs later. Still Erica btw 

"Hello Benjamin" Catherine said in a far nicer tone than before 

Ben was caught off guard because he didn't hear us come in, 

"Oh hi," he said quickly still recovering from the near heart attack he almost had. 

"Umm, so you said you have a lead on GOLM?"

"Yes I do"

"Well, what is it!" I said louder than intended
