Nick 's POV

"Mom, I'm not ready for this."

Hey my name is Nick. I'm 18 years old, and I'm headed to a place call hell.

"Oh C'mon Nick! You'll love this new town. It's small, but you'll definitely meet nice people" my mom said while driving to our new house. More like "old."

"Mom is not even our house. It's grandma's. You know me and her don't get along ever since that incident" I said while making a face.

"Nick, that happened 5 years ago! Get over it" she said.

We were driving this moving truck for hours and then... Boom!

Welcome to Indiana

"Why, out of all places, did you choose this?" I asked my mom.

"Don't be so negative. This place will do you so good. You'll love the big front and back porch, and especially meeting new people!" she said in a chirpy tone.

"I will admit that I do love the front porch and backyard of grandma's, but I didn't like the fact that you kept this away from me. You know I hate being the last person to know certain things, especially big decisions" I said to her.

"As to 'love meeting new people,' yes. I do love meeting new people, but NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING SEMESTER!" I continued to tell her.

"Watch your mouth and that tone of yours. You know that the only reason why we moved was because of your father" she said.

My father. The father that wasn't there my whole 18 years, but all of a sudden he wants to come into our life and reconstruct our relationship.

"Hey look, she seems pretty and a nice girl. She could be your new best friend" my mom pointed out the window, interrupted my train of thought.

Wow

She was beautiful. She had her hair in a messy hairstyle, but it didn't make her look sloppy. She was gorgeously, naturally tan. Not like other girls who use that spray tan that makes them look like an orange.

"Close that mouth, a fly might go in" she said while chuckling.

When she said that, the girl turn my way and we made eye contact.

She is beautiful.
