I awoke suddenly to someone shaking my shoulder, I rubbed my eyes and was ready to turn around to yell at whoever had woken me up from my peaceful state, but my mom cut me off before I could say anything, "Get up, we need to leave in about a hour if you want to catch the train to Hogwarts on time." and with that she left. I was already bitter about having to leave my home and all of my friends back in America since my parents decided to impulsively get up and move to London, (If you ask me, I think it was a pretty shitty idea on their part) but to top it off, I don't even get a proper good morning. I stayed is bed for about 5 more minutes thinking about what my new school would be like, I wondered if people were going to like me or not. I had heard that some of the relevancy had to do with blood status, so luckily for me my blood was as pure as it could be. My mom had gone to Hogwarts when she was younger and had lived here quite a bit longer after she was done with school, but she had moved to America where she met my dad and they got married and had me. I didn't know much about my moms side of the family except for the fact that they all lived somewhere in the U.K, I kind of wondered if we were going to see them since we were living somewhat close to where they lived. My dads side was all from America and we spent most of our time with them , that was one of the saddest parts about the move, the fact I had to leave my family all behind. I decided to push all of the sad thoughts out of my head and finally rolled out of my bed to start getting ready. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and started putting on a little bit of makeup, I had decided I wanted to at least look presentable for my first impression at the new school. After that, I went to my bed where my outfit that I had laid out was, it consisted of my baggy jeans, a sage green top and my air forces, I had no clue what people here dressed like so I just wore what I wanted to. After I finished getting ready, I made sure that I had everything packed and ready to go in my 'trunk', I found it quite odd that they used a trunk instead of a normal suitcase. I took a look one last look around my room before I finally shut my door and made my way down the stairs.I was hit with the small of pancakes and hash browns as I took the last step off the stairs, I looked up to see my dad making breakfast. I made my way to one of the stools that were at the kitchen counter, "Oh hey y/n. I see you've finally decided to gift us with your presence this morning." He joked when he finally noticed me, "I know, I should really start charging since it just takes so much energy to actually get out from my bed and walk down that long, long stair case." I joked back. My dad smiled at me before sliding me a plate stacked with pancakes and a side of hash browns, he watched in amusement as I took the maple syrup and drenched my pancakes in it, along with butter of course. Not long after I started eating my breakfast, my mom came walking down the stairs, she was being more pleasant than she had been this morning when she woke me up. She came over to me and hugged me, "Ohh honey, I can't wait for you to attend the same school that I did!" she exclaimed, "I have a feeling that you're going to be in Slytherin just as I was." I just simply nodded, still not excited about having to to be the 'new kid' at a new school. She kissed me on the head and started to eat her own plate of food. I thought some more about being the new kid, I knew I wasn't socially awkward, and I was decently popular at Ilvermore, but the thought of being in a new school in a country that I had never been to before terrified me, I shuddered at the thought. Once we all finished breakfast and cleaned up, we walked out to the car to start the drive to Kings Cross Station.
When we got there, my mom lead us to a wall in between the platforms 9 and 10, she was just standing there looking at me as if she was waiting for me to say something, while at the same time I was looking at her in confusion and was wondering if she had gone mad, and when I saw my dads expression I could tell her was thinking the same thing I was. My mom finally broke her silence, "What're you guys waiting for, go ahead." She said to us like we were being stupid, "And what exactly do you want us to do? Run to the wall?" I asked, my question dripping heavily in sarcasm, "That's exactly what I want you to do!" My mom called over her shoulder as she started running at the wall. I half covered my eyes expecting her to ram into the wall with a loud crash, except she didn't, she ran straight through the wall as if nothing was there, my dad and I shared a look of pure confusion, but we shrugged and took off running at the wall together. Once we got through, I saw my mom standing there waiting for us to finally get through. After we caught up to her, I looked around and admired the big red train that had a Hogwarts label on the side, I turned to catch up to my parents since they started to walk ahead, but right as I was turning, a large body crashed into me, but not with enough force to knock me down. I looked up to see who was dumb enough to not see me standing here only to see a guy who was somewhat cute looking at me with an embarrassed expression, with his cheeks and the tips of his ears starting to turn red, he stared at for a few seconds making me feel awkward, but luckily the train tooted signaling we had 10 minutes before it left. The tall boy seemed to get pulled out of his daze and muttered a quiet "sorry" and hurried off to get on the train, I also walked away flustered and was trying to find my parents so I could say goodbye. I found my parents and bid my farewells while I gave them each a long hug, as I was walking to the train, I heard my mom tell me to owl her what house I had gotten into. I just simply nodded and smiled at them and rushed to get on before it left me.
