You looked out the window. Coincidentally Your seat close to it. You’re thinking about Kai, About he’s too jealous of every guy who approached you even with your bestfriends. You also don’t understand why Chanyeol and Baekhyun really don’t like him, Even after a year has passed since you and Kai met.
“Jiwoo, Aren’t you going to the field? Baekhyun will play footballs with the shopomores.”
Sungji waved her hand in front of your face, you shocked and removed all your daydreams. You stood up from your seat and nodded slowly. You and Sungji went to the field to see Baekhyun and his friends against the shopomores. You see the field already crowded and most of them are Baekhyun’s fans. You can hear them screamed and shouted Baekhyun’s name
. “He’s a football star.”
Sungji laughed to you. You smiled and nodded in agreement,
“Yeah, He is.”
You looked to Baekhyun Already started kicking the ball to one of his friends
. “BYUN BAEKHYUN FIGHTING!!!”
You cheered for him as well as Sungji.
“BYUN!! IF YOU LOSE, YOUR SNSD’S CD AND ALL ABOUT THEM WILL BE MINE!!!”
You turned to your side and chuckled to see Chanyeol also cheered for Baekhyun.
“NEVER!!!”
Baekhyun shouted from there and made the two of you laughed. He waved at you and went back to play. A smile carved on your lips,
“I’m lucky, Am I?”
“Why?”
Chanyeol turned to you.
“I have an athletic and handsome bestfriends. Baekhyun is a football player and You’re a basketball player.”
You turned to him as you smiled, You pointed your thumb to him,
“You guys are really cool!”
He chuckled as he stroked your hair,
“I know that.”
You smiled a bit and cheered for Baekhyun again. You and Chanyeol cheered for Baekhyun. When Baekhyun kicked the ball into the net, You cheered with delight and clapped for him. He’s really a football star in your school. That’s why he’s very popular and had so many fans.
“He really didn’t want to lose the CD and all about SNSD.”
Chanyeol shook his head in laughter as he looked at Baekhyun who play with passion. You also laughed then slapped Chanyeol’s arms,
“Of course! He really loves them!”
The two of you laugh together and remember about Baekhyun’s funny stories. Baekhyun realized it, he looked at you and Chanyeol in jealousy.
“BAEKHYUN!!”
“WATCH OUT!!”
Baekhyun surprised. The ball who passed for Baekhyun is missed and bounced towards you. His eyes widened,
“JIWOO!!”
You turned your head and gasped when the ball was about fall on your face, you shut your eyes and didn’t feel anything. You opened your eye and saw you’ve been in Chanyeol’s arms, He has protected you from the ball.
“Cha-Chanyeol! Are you okay?!”
You asked in panic.
“Of course. I’m an athlete, Remember?”
He grinned as he rubbed your head. You opened your mouth as you want to say something but didn’t, for some reason the words could not get out of your mouth. You looked at Chanyeol softly, you feel different when in his arms. His arms felt good and he’s much taller than you now.
*Why did I never realize that they’re no longer a boy? They’ve become a man…*
“Jiwoo!! Are you okay?!!!”
You shocked when Baekhyun approached you as he checked your body, you feel hurt or not.
“Baekhyun… I’m fine…”
You softened. Baekhyun sighed, he turned to Chanyeol and grinned,
“Congrats! You’re her bodyguard now!”
Chanyeol smiled a bit,
*Always.*
He pushed Baekhyun’s forehead with his index finger,
“Go back to the field, Byun.”
“Okay, Manager!”
He laughed then ran into the field. You shook your head at his behaviour
. “Jiwoo.”
You turned your body when someone called your name. It’s Kai, He looked at you sadly.
“Let’s talk.”
You nodded and let him pulled you away from there. Chanyeol stared at you for a while and went back to cheered for Baekhyun.
“What is it, Kai?”
You asked softly. He sighed then held both of your hand,
“As you asked me, I already apologize to Jaekwon.”
You brightened,
“Really? It’s good.”
He didn’t answer or smiling at you, you looked at him in puzzlement as you studied his face,
“Kai? Is there something?”
He shook his head.
“Then, Why do you look like that?”
You asked. “I’m just afraid that you will leave me…”
He muttered and didn’t look at you. You smiled and hugged him. He didn’t say anything and also hugged you, You strengthen your arms,
“Why do you said like that? Do I look like will leave you?”
“Maybe, someday… I really love you, Jiwoo… I promised you to not hit people again, right? So, you’ve to promise me something.”
He whispered.
“What’s that?”
You pulled yourself and tilted your head.
“Don’t leave me.”
He smiled and pulled you again into his arms. You’re not sure, can you be together forever? You closed your eyes as you whispered,
“Yes, I will not leave you…”
Not far from where you stood, Baekhyun watched you as he wanted to tell you that he and his friends is a winner. He leaned against the wall,
*Promise? We used to have an appointment, have you forgotten that Jiwoo? It was… Between You, Me and Chanyeol… Did you really forget about it?*
