Ocs - Appeareance

When writing a warrior cats fanfiction, its common the first thing you want is to create an oc, one of the most important things is the appeareance. So lets create a warrior cats oc!

Pelts:

     This is warrior cats, so no black cats with blood red stripes running around! You dont want your oc to be a rainbow cat with wings, I know warrior cats isnt realistic but the pelts are, however, the only exception to unnatural pelt confirmed is pink, you can have a pink cat, just dont make it too saturated. Im not saying you cant push the colors further, for example, you can make a blue-gray cat more blue, a ginger cat more orange... my oc Ashbounce for example, is purple-ish black. 

    For the patterns, keep it simple, we dont want confusing patterns everywhere, the readers should be able to remember the pelt of your character, so dont make it too complicated. Here are some patterns for you:

-Spotted tabby

-Tabby

-Tabby spots

-Leopard spots

- Flecks

- Calico

- Solid

- Bicolor

- Etc (these are just examples)

Eyes:

Eyes are pretty simple, this is warrior cats, no need to be realistic! Make your ocs have red eyes, purple eyes, cyan eyes, heterochomia, etc. But you should avoid black eyes and rainbow eyes.

Fur, shapes and Body mass:

     You might want to consider where they live for that, Im sure if they're a wild cat, they arent going to be fat, they might be fluffy and/or muscular, but a fat feral cat isnt the most likely thing. Think about the clan they live in for a base, Ex: Windclan cats usually have long legs and small and skinny bodies. Do the same for the fur, if they live in ThunderClan (or a similar clan) they will mostly be long haired, but can also have a sleek pelt.

     Shapes can be interesting, no need to follow realistic cat anatomy, make your ocs with a longer muzzle, bigger/smaller ears, longer legs, long neck... feel free! Another cool thing you can do is shape language, this can avoid boring and too similar designs. Is your cat fast, unpredictable, and/or dangerous? Make them triangular shaped! Strong and sturdy characters can be squares! While gentle and soft characters could be rounder. You can also mix these shapes up, if your character is really soft, but big and muscular, for example, try mixing up squares and circles.
