Chapter Two- Murder x two

After my Mum explained what had happened to Dani everything went fuzzy, a mix of loud sirens, and ended up on the sofa in my mum's living room. My little sister, Molly, also one of my closest friends, put her arms around my shoulders "Chlo?" She said, concern sparking on her face and Lee stepped over and sat the other side of me on the sofa "Chloe?!" He asked lightly and I felt if my face could be any color right now, it would be green for how sick I felt, I looked up at Molly and Lee "I could have helped her" I barely whispered and they both shook their heads, Molly in her matter of fact voice tried to calm me down "No, nothing you could have done would have stopped this from happening, in reality, if this was going to happen, it would have."

I breathed and my head spun "You don't understand! She called me, I was still so mad at her for cutting us all off, I didn't even answer." the tears began to fall and my stomach swirled I grabbed out my phone "I need to call Jess and Jade!" I said and Molly grabbed my phone out of my hand "No, it's fine, I called them earlier, they know, they are on their way back here. You all will need to stay in town for a few weeks or months depending on how long the investigation takes" Molly said and my stomach tightened "What, why? we don't know anything though?" I said slowly and Lee breathed "It's just routine Chlo" he said hugging me.

After a hot bath, I wandered down the hall to my old room, the door shut but I knew my sister had been in there and my brother, sorting out the stuff in the room ready for me and Lee. My brother opened the door as I stood in front of it "Chloe!" He said and grabbed me into a hug "I came as soon as mum said about Dani, I am so sorry!" he said and I snuggled him "I love you, Scotty, I have missed you so much!" I said and he grinned "Get orf" he went and inched away from me laughing, he's blonde hair waving around and he's bright blue eyes creasing, he looked so much like me, I could barely believe we were two different people. He was only 15, in a whole lot of trouble and lived with his friends at the moment in the middle of town"

After a brief catch up, I jumped into my old double bed, made of pine and had polaroid stickers of me and my friends stuck all over it. I eyed up one with all of me and my friends, on that same stretch of grass, me smallest, at the end brown side ponytail, bright blue eyes, red cheeks, freckles and a big goofy grin with lipgloss lips, big hoop earrings, a beige dream catcher t-shirt and a denim skirt with pink nail varnish, one of my weird feathered toe rings dangling as I leaned into Jess, my cousin but also one of my best friends, same blue eyes, Jessamine was her full name, but Jess is what she liked best, in the picture her blonde hair had clearly been moved in the breeze, shining in the sun, bright pink lipgloss and long mascara eyelashes glinted, dainty diamond earrings flashed in her ears, a huge grin on her face and her pink and white bikini showing off her slim tanned body, next to Jess were Lauren, a toothless grin, her lips needed no lipgloss to plump her lips or make their shape, she had perfect bow lips. Her eyes the lightest but mixed with dark blue with light crystal shapes in them, dark black mascara, tanned, flowey light brown/blonde hair flowing down past her shoulders and making her white bikini seem whiter than it would usually be, her nails a shimmery sea blue.

Next to Lauren was Jade, with Straight brown hair, blonde highlights, and deep brown eyes, Jade was olive-skinned and she had gappy teeth, Jade wore a black strappy Tshirt with sequins and blue denim jeans with dolly shoes, sunglasses on her head, and next to her was Dani, ginger curls cascading down her face, emerald green eyes shining in the sun, gappy small teeth grinning and her tomboyish feel coming out of the picture with her blue cap covering her head, blue heavy shirt, white jogging bottoms, and trainers. She has inched away from us, never really feeling a part of the girl's type group.

I breathed and jumped when Lee came in, knocking me out of my stupor "Sorry babe!" he said and came and put his arm on me "You ok?" he said before noticing what I was staring at "Wow, you all look so different" he said and he grinned "You look cute" I laughed and faux punched him in the arm "Shut up, come to bed" I said giggling, but once the light was off, Lee was snoring and the house was silent, my tears began to fall rapidly, thoughts of Dani played on my mind, then I fell into a restless deep sleep
