A Corduroy Heart

Chapter 1: Arrival

No POV
You sat on a bus heading toward the small town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. You  had gone a long ways to get from New York to a bus station in California.  You notice that tho only other people on the bus are 2 kids from the station. You don't pay to much mind to them as you drift off to sleep.

Y/N POV
I woke up to one of the kids from earlier staring me directly in my face, She smelt oddly sweet. "Hi my name's Mabel and this is my brother Dipper, he thinks you're cute." "MABEL I DO NOT." he yelled at her. I got off while they continue to squabble about me. "Are you getting off here?" I asked, they just looked at me in disbelief that I spoke. We hopped off the the bus as a tall man  greets the two. He turns to me and says "I'm Stan Pines and this is the 'Mystery Shack'." "I'm Y/N, Nice to meet you Mr. Pines." The Pines' are a family friend even though I've never met Mabel or Dipper. I walked in to the old building to see a gorgeous redhead girl reading at the reading at the counter. "H-hello.." I said. Suddenly my stomach flipped, my hands got clammy, and I started to feel warm. "Oh Hey dude! Are you new here?" She replied. "Yeah I came from NYC to spend the summer with the Pines' family" "Dude no way!! Thats sick!!"... "I'm Wendy by the way, and you are?" I barely notice the lengthy teen walking towards me. "I'm Y/N" I replied as the she towered over me, so while I stared deep into her forest green eyes. Everyone walks in and Dippers eyes go straight to Wendy. He looks like a lovesick puppy. We worked in the store for a little while then Stan enters the room with a bunch of signs "I need someone to hang these out in the spooky part of the woods". "Not it" we all call in unison, the only one who didn't say anything is Wendy. Stan tells her to but she lazily waves her hand at him "I would but I can't reach it". "Eeny means miny you" he says pointing to Dipper. About an hour later Mabel and I are just having a conversation "Its been a while should we check on him?" "Yeah" she replies. We walk into the woods searching for Dipper. We find hom crouched down by a log, "let's scare him" Mabel insists. "Y E Sscaring people has always my forte". We sneak up behind the moss covered log "HELLOO" we scream making him  jump. "Whatcha reading? Some nerd thing" Mabel asks while I realize he's holding a cool looking book. "U-uh its nothing!!" Dipper says as Mabel mocks him "Are you actually not gonna show us?" she asks more seriously. "Let's go somewhere a little more private." We head off towards the Mystery Shack. Dipper finally shows us the journal, telling us about the weird things in Gravity Falls. "At some point the pages just stop!! Like the writer just mysteriously just disappeared" when he was interrupted by the door bell. "Who's that" Dipper and I ask. "Well time to spill the beans, This girl has a date!!" "How'd you get a boyfriend in the 30 minutes I was gone" Dipper asks his sister, "and the 20 we were apart" I added on. "What can I say I'm just irresistible" Mabel says, she runs to the door to let her new boyfriend in. Stan enters the room just before Mabel and a random teenager. "Hey familyyyy say hello to my new boyfriend." "Sup" "Hey" "how's it hangin?" They all say. "Y/N don't be shy" Mabel says. "H-h uhmm hi" I reply. "Whats your name?" Dipper asks. "Normal... Man" the rando replies. "He means Norman hehe" Mabel cuts in. After the short interrogation happening "So uh you wanna go hold hands?" Norman asks "Don't wait up!!" Mabel tells us. "There's something about Norman that just wasn't right.." "I know but just be supportive." Dipper and I decide to look for answers in the journal. "ZOMBIES" Dipper yells. I get really close to his ear and yell "I'M RIGHT NEXT TO YOU THERE'S NO NEED TO YELL" because that hurt. Dipper runs his ear as we look out the red tinted window. "Y/N we have to save her." Dipper and I spy on her for a while. I watch the siblings fight about Norman. We watched over tapes as Normans hand falls off and he puts it back on. We panic and run in to Wendy "Mabel... Go-kart... zombie.. save" I manage to get out. She giggled and tossed me the keys "Try not to hit any pedestrians." We take off in the Go-kart as fast as we can. We drive up to see 6 or 7 tiny men surrounding Mabel. "What the heck is going on here?!?!" Dipper asks, "G-GNOMES??!?!?!?! I knew the place was weird but damn this just... wow." I say. Mabel explains what's happening while I contemplate if coming here was the right decision. "Hey!! Let go of my sister" he orders the gnomes. "She's not in danger, she's gonna marry all 1,000 of us and be out gnome queen for all of  Eternity." As Jeff (the gnome) goes on about how "powerful" the gnome race is Dipper scoops him up and tosses him to the side. I cut the strings used to secure Mabel with my pocket knife because im cool like that. We all drive out the woods as fast as possible, we slow down because gnomes are short how fast could they possibly run. Suddenly the ground starts to shake under us "fuck." I say under my breath. When I thought this place couldn't get any weirder there's a giant gnome monster thing behind us. We speed up as fast as possible while the launch gnomes at us.  "These gnomes are just fucking homicidal now" I state "how" the twins questioned "THEY'RE THROWING A FUCKING TREE AT US!!" We crash after dodging the tree. "Mabel marry us before we do something crazy" "so becoming a giant gnome monster, launching yourselves at us, and throwing a tree at us wasn't crazy enough?" I asked them. "Sorry Dipper and Y/N I have to do it" Mabel says after cutting me off. "Are you crazy?" Dipper asks his sister. She married him.. she actually married him. "You may now kiss-" "HuH he can kiss what" i cut in. As he walked in for a kiss I noticed she has a leaf blower. She sucked up Jeff and blew him into the others, I sat there in disbelief. We went back into the Mystery Shack and Stan let us pick something out because he had "too much inventory". Dipper picked out a hat, I picked out a book, and Mabel got a grappling hook. Later we were going to sleep while Dipper wrote in the journal and Mabel turned off the lights with her grappling hook.
