Chapter 1: Girl

August 31.
She just finished her last book of this month. "And that's for August! Here I come, new books!" she said to herself. 'Bloop!'
"1 new notification".
She took her phone and checked.
One of her friends uploaded a new picture in Instagram.
"Damn it man I missed it!", Liv said while swiping the pictures.
She suddenly exclaimed as she saw the last picture. There were four people in it. Her friends George, Steph, Bess and a new guy. She was looking at the new guy. He was tall and athletic and had piercing brown eyes which looked like a chocolate pool in the sunlight. So bright and a defined jaw with a small dimple on his left cheek. He looked dreamy. At least for Liv.
She said, "I don't know you." And she kept on staring at the picture for a solid minute. She then checked the tags in the picture and found a tag below his face.
"Josh Brent. Nice name. Only I don't know who he is." And she clicked the profile. "Private account damn it!"
She saw that he was mutual friends with Bess and Steph. And she texted Bess.
"Hey! How you? Had your fun without me eh?"
Bess replied, "My goodness. We all missed you so much Liv!"
Liv asked "BTW who was that guy standing next to you and Steph??"
Bess immediately said, "I know you'd ask this with a smirk emoji. I know you girl."
Liv felt like she was caught red handed but she said, "Oh come on. I am just asking 'cause I'm curious" defensively.
Bess sent a smirking emoji and then replied "Anyway he's Josh and he's my classmate and he's staying nearby Steph's place."
Liv immediately pounded on Bess and asked "You have a classmate like this and yet you decided to talk about other people?!"
Bess replied "Chill Liv. We're all coming to meet you tomorrow. Be ready. 9 am"
Liv said alright and went to sleep.
