Unexpected love (Dylan O'Brien fan fiction)

Chapter 1

So this is my first attempt to write anything, I'm not good at this but I hope you guys like it

My thoughts are scattered and my head hurts so much. My mom died a week ago in a car accident so my dad decided that we have to move to a different state and so we could start from the beginning. I registered in Beacon Hills school in Cali, the school looked pretty good but the fear of not having friends scared the hell out of me.

I woke up on the sound of the alarm 5:55 am, I jumped from bed and went to brush my teeth, I was ready in 20 mins.

I heard dad say:"Alaska come down have some breakfast before we leave, you don't have to be late for first day of school." I sighed:"Okaay"

I went downstairs and I had already found my dad standing in the kitchen staring at me,"what's wrong?" I asked with curiosity. He answered as soon as I asked:"we're almost late, grab something fast and head to the car." I nodded and in a second I turned to look at the window, found my dad already waiting in the car. I grabbed some french cinnamon toast and went to the car.

The school is only 10 mins away from my house, I whispered as I sat next to dad:"Junior year will suck, I know" my dad looked at me and mumbled:"Don't worry, you'll make some friends soon" I smiled, and left the car.

As soon as I entered the hallway, the bell rang and everyone rushed into me reaching to their classes. A blonde guy with blue eyes hit me so hard that my books already fell onto the ground.
He reached helping me:"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I...I'm fine" I said.
He looked in my eyes and said:"My name's Luke," I smiled and shook hands with him. While I bent to pick my books I said:"My name's Alaska, nice to meet you Luke"
He smiled and I had to admit that he looked really hot, "Are you new here?" He asked. I just nodded and he began to speak again:"Well, I'll meet you at lunch, sit with me and my friends."
I just smiled and said:"sure" though I knew it was a stupid word to come out. He walked away with a smirk on his face. The guy really seemed to like me, maybe at the end it wasn't so bad to be new, maybe we could become friends.
