Chapter 16

YOUR P.O.V

The sun shone bright into my room waking me up. I was not much of a morning person so I was mildly annoyed and covered myself with the blanket. I closed my eyes, wanting to get more sleep but my body decides that I won't be getting any sleep. Curse you body, why can't I sleep I'm so tired from yesterday and my period cramps are not over.

Sighing, I pushed the covers off of me and got out of bed, dragging my feet to the toilet to freshen up. I took a towel and flung it over my shoulder, dropping it in the process. I stared at it momentarily and sighed once again. I bend down in order to pick it up and went into the bathroom. Locking the door behind me, I slowly stripped down the clothing that I was previously wearing and stepped into the bathtub. I sat down on opened the tap, letting water enter the tub.

I let out a relieved sigh as the warm water calmed my tense body. I thought of what I was gonna do today when I remembered what Ja'far said about me telling him what I wanted to tell him ever since I came here if we cross paths again. Which is probably very soon. I felt giddy and nervous, not knowing whether he'll reject me or accept me. Either way, I'll have to accept it. It's harder than it looks, that what I realised from all my tries. The day I confess could be today after all, if not tomorrow, unless I stay in the room forever but Ja'far would probably come to check on me if I did.

I got out of the bathtub and dried myself with a towel on the rack right after I was done with my bath. I wrapped the towel around my body and grabbed another towel to dry my hair. I got out of the bathroom and headed to my closet. The first thing I saw was the clothes that I used to wear when I was an assassin. It was clean unlike before. A small smile adorned my face and I grabbed it straight away. The clothing was handmade by me, so it was quite precious.

I wore the clothing from my days as an assassin and put on the sindrian robe above it. It was kind of my way of showing pride that I got over my past. Looking into a mirror, I felt a surge of confidence burst inside me. Maybe I'll confess today afterall.

Opening the door of my room, I walked outside and was greeted by a loud person AKA Lily.

"(Y/NNNNNNNNNNNNNNN)!!!!"

"sigh What is it Lily? I know we have lessons now yaknow?"

She only gave me a big smile and shrieked in my ear. I backed off instantly and a tick mark appeared on my head.

"WHY THE HECK DID YOU SHOUT IN MY EAR YOU IDIOT?"

"Let's go right now!"

I was dragged by an excited lady very confused on what the situation is.  I just sighed and kept up my pace with Lily, curious of what's going to happen and tired of her antics. We arrived in front of Rurumu's room which made me even more confused since I was about to go here in the first place. I raised my brow at Lily as she opened the door to Rurumu's room.

"We're here~ Rurumu-san~"

"Ah, you're early. come over and sit down here."

I nodded while Lily skipped towards Rurumu. I sweatdropped and followed her. we sat on the cushions Rurumu placed on the floor and I just stared at Lily's giddy self, lowkey judging her. Rurumu gave us a gentle and warming smile in which I returned. Our lessons are only going to be me practicing how to write since I already memorised the alphabets. 

"Rurumu~ Can we not teach (Y/n) today and just talk about her love life with Ja'-"

As soon as I heard her say the word 'love life', I got pissed. I slapped her mouth shut and sent her a death glare as if saying don't even try. She knew I hated being teased about it and she was having quite some fun acting like a child despite being older than me.  

"Drop it."

My voiced was laced with venom as I said those two words. I was having enough of it after her countless teasing and her not taking the clues of me not wanting the topic to be brought up again. She only pouted and muttered a sorry before looking back at Rurumu.

"Now now Lily, (Y/n) has made it clear that she doesn't want to talk about that topic hasn't she?"

Lily nodded slowly, looking as if she was guilty, which I hope she was, truth be told. I was still sensitive about that topic and her bringing it up so often made my confidence drop since it was as if she was expecting it to happen so soon. 

"Alright, now we'll start with the lesson okay? Today we're doing spelling."

I nodded and held the quill on my hand the way I was comfortable with, scribbling away as I listened to Rurumu's instructions...

TIMESKIP

Lessons ended after a few hours and it was already time for lunch. I was already mentally exhausted after the lessons and would really love to grab a bite. I walked towards the dining room where I saw someone I wasn't expecting.

Ja'far

He was sitting down eating his lunch peacefully with no one around. Of course since lunch time was 'officially' at 12 noon and two hours have passed from that time.

Good lord I didn't know I was going to bump into him this early. Gaining some courage, I walked up to him. He noticed my presence and grinned at me, motioning to sit down beside him. I pulled out the chair and do as told as a maid came behind me to ask what food I want for lunch.

"(F/f) please. If there is any."

She nodded and walked off to get my food as all my attention was diverted to Ja'far. I felt nervous and shy around him, knowing that this could possibly be the time I would confess to him. 

"So...how's it going Ja'far?"

"Nothing much. How about you?"

"Pretty much the same as you. I'm sorry for being so awkward."

"No no it's fine. So...

do you want to tell me that thing you've been hiding from me?"

Hello my readers!!! Sorry for not updating, writer's block was being a bitch. Anyway I finally had an idea so I wrote it as fast as I could since I can't afford to forget it. Also, I want your help in finding a new name for Lily since I just felt like it. Jkjk. But do comment on what should Lily's new name be~

We'll find out who wins next chapter

As well as if (Y/n) does end up confessing to Ja'far~
