The Guardian's Tale (AOT fanfiction)

-Kidnapped pt.2-

"You have a solid grasp of things. What do you think comes next ?" Reiner continued. "Joining our side wouldn't be out of the question if you were so inclined."

"And put my faith in you guys ?" She retorted mockingly. "Heh that's rich.Neither of you trust me as far as you can throw me."

"Come on...that isn't true. We know what you really want. All you care about is protecting Christa." Reiner said as Ymir's eyes widened. "If we can all agree on that, I don't see the conflict. I'm being absolutely serious. Is it so hard to believe we want what's best for her too ? Hate to break it to you but you're not the only one." As soon as he said that, it felt as though my chest had tightened. "Then again you can always place your trust in Eren. See where that leads you. You're probably leaning towards escape. Better to take a chance with him than throw in with us right ? Because if we end up taking you, there's not much hope of being rescued. Even if you come willingly we're not in a position to guarantee your safety. But if it's Christa we're talking about we might be able to do something." He stated as Ymir's eyes widened.

"M-Marley..." I muttered.

"What...did you just say ?!" Reiner asked with wide eyes. "YUKI WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY ?!" He yelled, grabbing my shoulders.

"N-NOTHING I'M..." For some reason, I started fearing him at that moment. "I'm sorry...I don't know I...I wasn't thinking." I started trembling and he let go, grabbing my hand instead.

Eren then started pressing her to tell us who the real enemy was but she just looked at him with a blank, lifeless look. Suddenly, we spotted green flares in the distance and my lips formed into a small smile. They came after all. Reiner brushed his finger over my ring and I felt his grip on my hand tighten. I gently broke my hand free and looked at Ymir and Eren while Bertholdt and Reiner talked. I yawned and winced, apparently half of my ribs still hadn't healed and neither had my right ankle. 

"Hey Bertholdt....you might wanna tell Annie how you feel." I yawned again. "Cuz you guys probably plan on taking her too." I giggled as he tried to defend himself and Reiner agreed with me. 

Reiner then grabbed me and used his ODM gear to perch himself on Eren and Ymir's branch. He announced that there was a change of plans and asked Eren not to put up a fight. He pretended to go along with Reiner but hit him in the face with what was left of his arm as soon as the blonde let his guard down. He then started repeatedly hitting him in the face once he was down.

"EREN DON'T !" I yelled before Reiner kicked him off. 

Reiner then grabbed Eren and put him in a headlock as Ymir grabbed my hand, shaking her head to tell me not to move. She then let go and I walked over to the 2 boys, trying my best to calm them down. 

"Reiner please..." I looked at him dead in the eyes and gently placed my hand on his fist. "Stop this...just let Eren go." I pleaded before he reluctantly obliged after Eren calmed down. "Eren are you alright ?" I asked as I wiped the blood from his mouth before I realized he'd passed out.

"I'm sorry my love but...before we go I need to take some precautions." Reiner said as he slowly got up and walked towards me.

"R-Reiner...what are y-" I was cut off by him sinking his blade into my stomach and in a matter of seconds, I passed out too.

I slowly opened my eyes and my heart skipped a beat when I could feel wind hit my back and a striking pain. I then realized that there was a pressure against my stomach and shoulders and when I looked up, I saw that I was tied to Reiner's chest and that they had bandaged my stomach. I also noticed a passed out Eren tied to his back. I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shoulder, wanting to feel safe. 

"I know...I'm sorry princess." He whispered in my ear before giving me a light kiss on the cheek. 

"REINER WE HAVE TO GO BACK. NOW ! CHRISTA'S WITH THEM !" Ymir yelled, hanging on to Bertholdt. "THIS IS OUR BEST CHANCE ! THINK ABOUT IT ! SHE'S A BIG SOFTY RIGHT ?! STUPID GIRL'S COME TO RESCUE ME !"

"Yeah well so what ?! Sorry but it'll have to wait." Reiner replied. "We can't grab her the way things are now. There's no way to bust up that formation !"

"He's...right." I managed to say. "C-Commander Erwin's formation...is almost...perfect."

"Almo-" Reiner cut himself off when he saw my pale face. "...Go to sleep...it's alright."

I tried to stay conscious as long as I could but Reiner and Ymir's voiced started sounding like far away whispers and the world started losing its color. Once more, I drifted off into unconsciousness.

When I woke up, I heard loud stomping noises. I slowly sat upright and realized that I was way higher off the ground than I was supposed to be and when I looked back, Ymir's Titan form was gripping on to some armor plates. That's when I realized that I was in the crook of the neck of Reiner's Titan form, one of my wrists tied above me to his hair. I tried to untie it but it was no use, one of them had broken my other wrist. 

I looked beside me and locked eyes with Commander Erwin. He turned away and I heard him order the Soldiers to let the Titans chase them. For a second I was confused but then I realized something. Reiner was a human so...if they managed to catch up to him with the Titans on their tails, they were going to eat him.
