"There he was again. Or..should i say..they? It..? I don't know anymore. All I know is it kept coming back every night. Every night, at 3:06 AM. It would stand in our front lawn, and just glare up towards my window. It looked like a really, really tall man in a cloak of sorts with this unusually tall and lanky top hat on its head. The thing must have measured way over 2 metres. It would stay there from exactly 3:06 AM until 3:10 AM. Four minutes. Every night, and it never once broke that routine. The only problem, though, is that it seemed to get a little bit closer to the house every night.
I tried telling my family and friends about it. Nobody believed me. I tried to prove it to my best friend Dan. He came to stay the night once, and just like every night, the creature showed up. However, this time it was...unusually short. Not only that, but Dan apparently couldn't see the damn thing. It was right there, but he couldn't see it. Nothing. Another thing that freaked me out, was that the next night it seemed to have moved way closer to my window. Closer than it usually moves each night.
The closer it got the more terrified I became. One night, I tried to speak to it. I wanted to know why it was here, and what its purpose was.
The moment I opened my mouth it moved closer within the blink of an eye.
If I had tried to say anymore, I'm not sure what would have happened. I don't want to know. We moved out shortly after I started talking about him. My parents sent me to a psychiatrist, but to no avail. I couldn't take living in that house anymore knowing it was getting closer and closer.
We've moved to a house out of town, in a quite little neighbourhood. Things have calmed down, the people are friendly and that...thing..seems to be gone."
I would have left it there. I would have posted that on the paranormal internet forum and left it in the past. I thought things would be fine.
But then i started hearing rattling by the windows downstairs. The ones right beneath my bedroom window. The clock was 3:06 AM.
