     3 years later

Taemin had left for the military two years ago. This was after he released his part two for his Never Gonna Dance Again album as well as one more called Advice which was his last album before leaving.

It was mostly a gift to his fans but one song, called Journey, was written for me. Which speaking of, our relationship only grew after 2 years of being married.

Taemin signed a handwritten contract saying any and every music video of his would have to be done with me as the main dancer. This also went with interviews meant for just him...he made sure I was always included. Sometimes it felt unnecessary, but I only fell for him even more at his compassion.

I took on many more soloist's music videos over the course of two years. Taemin always supported me and I ended up helping a few newer artists reach the top, at least that's what Taemin had said.

He was to come back in a month. In just one month, I was going to be able see my husband and finally start a family with him. My work was becoming sloppy as my excitement grew a little more everyday.

"So, would you like to be my main dancer for the Amusement Park MV?" Baekhyun asks, my fingers intertwined in one another as I stared down at the contract.

I had danced for Baekhyun multiple times in the past. This time, however, he wanted just me instead of my whole dance team. It wasn't like I owned them or anything, but it felt odd to be asked to be Baekhyun's main dancer all on my own.

"Why should I?" I exhale deeply, taking the contract and flipping through it for the 5th time.

He uncrosses his arms and slowly makes his way to the side of the table I was seated at. He wore a white button up with a black sports jacket, black slacks, and even black boots. He had had a meeting with directors and managers before consulting me so I didn't ask any further.

"How could you even ask that question?" He jokingly scoffs. "You're the first backup dancer to be engaged to an idol which then led you to becoming the best female dancer in South Korea. Why the hell wouldn't I want you?" He chuckles, my head sarcastically shaking at his words.

My engagement sparked under the overhead light as I skimmed over the layout. Taemin had also made sure to tell all managers and producers for us that no matter the chosen attire, our wedding rings would never be taken off. I hadn't taken off my ring in 4 years.

"I'll think about it," I sigh, getting up and shoving the papers into my folder before tucking in my chair. "You've lost your creativity over the years, Baekhyun. This video is way too cliche...even for you," I tease. I pass him and his slightly dropped jaw where I escort myself to the door.

"How could you say that? And after all I've given you," I hear him call out from behind me as I walked the halls of the SM Entertainment building. He joins my side where I try to avoid his eye contact. "You try finding a plot for a music video."

"Baekhyun," I stop, turning to face him in the middle of the empty hallway. He freezes, his tear dropped eyes locked on mine. His new, white hair didn't make him look any younger than he really was, and he had just returned from his service. "You just came back so I understand if you're a little rusty, but Candy was better than this. Candy! And that was 4 years ago."

"Jesus Christ, why do you do this to me, Tanaka Yuki," he groans into the palms of his hands in embarrassment.

Baekhyun had been close to me ever since he came back and that was only 6 months ago. I understood he had almost no one ever since almost all of SuperM also enlisted this year, so I guess I was all he had left.

Smiling, I pat him on the shoulder reassuringly. "I told you I'd think about it. Perhaps if you think of a better storyline, I'll accept it," I shrug as he drags his hands down his face and to the pockets of his pants.

He was clearly a little bit annoyed, but I had only become this difficult. It was mostly because of one new soloist's debut which gave me little to no pay and was a complete waste of my time.

Beginning to walk away after thinking the conversation had ended, he suddenly grasps my hand, stopping me. "Then...will you help me?" He asks, my head slowly turning to face that smug, puffy face of his.

Scoffing at that question, I shake my head. "That's not my job. You're the millionaire idol. I barely make 300,000 a year," I point out. He nods his head in thought when a sudden smirk crosses his lips.

He pulls me by my hand so I'm lunged right at him. "I'll give you half the album's profit if you help me over dinner tomorrow night," he proposes, my eyes only rolling at the thought.

I click my tongue in annoyance. "Is this how your mother taught you to act towards an engaged woman? Taemin's coming back in 3 weeks. I don't need your charity," I shake my head, prying my arm away from him. I then leave him in the hall while I continued on, for he did not follow me after that.

Kicking my heels off, my sore feet drag my fatigued body up the glass staircase to our bedroom. Large, framed portraits of us lined the halls from events like concerts, award shows, and even just random photoshoots.

His eyes stared at me as I passed them, my shadow following closely behind me. Reaching the bedroom, I tip toe over the scattered songs I had written as well as used tissues I had refused to throw away.

I would clean it all up when he came home, of course...when he came home. I lie in bed after changing into a blue, satan night dress. My fingers tap anxiously, waiting for the nightly text he always sent.

My heart burst when the clock in the hall dinged and my phone buzzed in sync with it. He never missed the text. I shoot the screen to my face where I met the words, "21 more days, my love. Hang in there a little longer. The day I kiss your lips in upon us."

His poetic texts were the reason I fell asleep at night and awoke the next morning. 'Please come home soon, Taemin.'
