chapter 8 - diva off
Erin's POV
I sit at the desk in my room, furrowing my eyebrows at my Calculus homework. I scribble down the rest of the equation before looking over at the clock, reading 12:44am, making me let out an involuntary groan before returning to my work. I hear a small knock at my window and furrow my eyebrows in confusion. I walk over to the window and push the curtains to the side to see Puck standing on my roof. My eyes widen as he gestures for me to open the window. I slide the window open, and he laughs, climbing into my room.
"What the fuck, Noah?" I whisper. "My mom is home."
"I know. That's why I came through the window," he rolls his eyes, taking a seat on the edge of my bed.
"What are you doing here?" I laugh.
"I missed you," he grins.
"You missed me?" I laugh, entertained by his thought process. "You could've just texted me."
"You know it's not the same," he grins, standing up and walking over to me. "I missed this," he cups my cheek and places a slow kiss on my lips. "Plus I haven't climbed that tree since like fourth grade. I wanted to see if I still had it," he grins, placing another peck on my lips.
"Do you still 'have it'?" I tease, grinning up at him.
"It was like muscle memory, baby," he giggles before leaning down and kissing me again as I grin against his lips.
I feel his hands grab my hips and pull them against his, as he deepens the kiss. I wrap my arm around him, letting my hand rest against the back of his head as I softly bite his lip, making him let out a small hum against my mouth. He begins to place kisses up and down my neck, as I let my hips slowly grind against his. He grins against my skin, focusing his lips on the spot I reacted to the most. I let out a small gasp at the sensation. He maneuvers his lips back up to mine, as I feel him tug on the bottom of my shirt. I grin against his lips, pulling away just enough to slip my shirt over my head. I see his eyes widen as he gazes down at me.
"What?" I laugh. "It's nothing you haven't seen before," I roll my eyes at him. He grins widely at me before pulling me in closer to him once again.
"Not while I was sober," he mumbles, his hands wandering up and down my sides. I smirk at him before pulling his shirt over his head. He leans back down and connects our lips again, as I let my fingers trace his muscles. His hands wander down to my butt, giving it a small squeeze, before pulling us both backwards onto the bed without breaking the kiss.
--- Later in the week ---
I put the rest of the books in my locker before hurrying to the library to meet Quinn. She'd just texted me to meet her there ASAP, saying it was an "emergency". I weave my way through the bookshelves to find her sitting at a desk in the corner. She meets my eyes and quickly gestures for me to come sit beside her.
"What happened?" I whisper, furrowing my eyebrows at her as I set my bag down and take a seat beside her.
"Why didn't you tell me you and Puck were hooking up?" She grins.
"What? We're not hooking up," I scoff. She raises her eyebrows at me and quickly pulls down the collar of my turtleneck, revealing a small, heart-shaped bruise on my neck. I widen my eyes and quickly pull the collar back up, looking around to see if anyone saw. "Fine, okay, we're hooking up," I sigh in defeat. "Was this really an emergency?" I groan.
