The sound of piano playing had awaken you. Leaving your room to investigate, you avoided any creaking floor boards that might wake any servants nearby. As you crept closer to a room, you could see a silhouette of a man, with help from the moonlight.
"Charles?" you asked, creeping closer, seeing the white haired blue eyed demon.
Said man ignored you, letting his fingers gracefully play each key.
"What are you doing here?" you hissed, glaring at the man in white.
Abruptly stopping the melody, Charles said nothing, making the room grow deathly quiet. His face went cold, staring at you. Sighing, you lit some candles, turning to face him again. Your blood suddenly ran cold, face paled from the fear that ignited in you at the sight ahead.
Charles was covered in blood. You trailed your eyes over his body before they flickered back to his eyes.
"I-is that blood? Are you okay?" you asked, quickly running over to inspect for wounds.
Gloved hands grabbed onto your wrists, cold eyes glaring down at you.
Biting your lip nervously, you suddenly tugged one hand down and reached for the candelabra. Fingers barely wrapping around the golden holder, you slammed it down in front of you. Once your hand was released, you ran out the room without paying attention to the fire that was starting.
You stopped in front of your parents' bedroom, shoving the door open, only to lean against the frame to hold yourself up from the amount of blood splayed around the room.
Pushing away from the doorframe you ran, blinded by tears.
"Stop running" he said quietly, almost pleading.
Running to the back of the house, bodies surrounded you with every step.
Throwing the door open, you ran towards the forest behind the manor.
Closing in on the tree lines, Charles appeared in front of you. Turning around ready to run, he reappeared and grabbed a hold of you.
Blue eyes you used to lose yourself in were now a bloody red. Not believing this was all happening, you began to cry, the view of your house slowly engulfed in flames behind Charles.
Struggling to get out of his iron grip, your hands were suddenly released, an arm wrapped around you as another shot through you. Your eyes widen and you ceased any movement, allowing him to pull you closer to his body.
Gently and slowly, Charles lowered you onto the ground. Standing up again, he watched your dying body for a moment before turning to leave.
Your body was numb, left alone in the grass. You stopped cry, seeing no point anymore. Silently you watched the stars above, while the roar of your manor being on fire swirled in your ears. Your breathing became shallow, eyes slowly losing its light.
Before you could plunge into darkness, you saw a dark figure slowly walking towards you.
"My, what a lovely night, isn't it?" the mysterious figure cooed.
