"Holy shit," Terushima muttered after Tsukishima revealed what had been going on with Yamaguchi. "He's had it for a fucking month?" He asked, burying his head in his hands. "I'm such an idiot! This is all my fault!"

Tsukishima let out a sigh. "Yamaguchi seems to think different," He said. "He doesn't think it's your fault, instead he seems to be under the impression that it's his."

Terushima looked up at Tsukishima with a shocked expression. "That's fucking stupid! Why the hell would he think this is his fault?"

Tsukishima gave a light shrug. "Why don't you ask him?"

Terushima let out a bitter laugh. "He's avoiding me, remember?"

"Sure, he's avoiding you, but he's not avoiding me, is he?" Tsukishima asked with a smirk.

Terushima furrowed his eyebrows. "What's that supposed to-"

"I just told him that I'm on my way to his house," Tsukishima interrupted. "Little does he know, it's not me that's going there," He said, giving Terushima a sly look.

Terushima caught on to what Tsukishima was telling him, and nodded. "Alright. How far is his house from here? Shouldn't be too far, right?"

Tsukishima scoffed, but gave Terushima directions to Yamaguchi's house nonetheless.

Once Terushima understood the directions, he gave Tsukishima a smirk. "Guess you're not as salty as I thought you were, huh, Saltyshima?"

"Shut up, and go see Yamaguchi," Tsukishima mumbled. "He needs you right now," He told him. "More than he needs me..." He added under his breath, quiet enough to where Terushima didn't hear him.

Terushima gave a quick nod, and started running towards Yamaguchi's house, completely shoving the idea of taking a bus out of his head.

Terushima hesitantly knocked on the door, scared that he'd walk in to see Yamaguchi dead, but all that fear washed away when he saw Yamaguchi open the door. He quickly wrapped Yamaguchi into a hug. "Long time, no see."

Yamaguchi quickly pulled away, and closed the door. "What are you doing here?" He whispered, looking down at his feet.

"Tsukishima told me about the disease..." He muttered, staring Yamaguchi directly in the eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Yamaguchi hesitated, then shook his head. "You shouldn't be over here," He said. "My parents know about the disease, and they're not exactly your biggest fans right now."

Terushima gave a light shrug. "Then I'll just sneak into your room."

"What?" Yamaguchi's eyes widened. "No. That'll make things worse."

"Where's your window?" Terushima asked, not taking 'no' for an answer. "Y'know what? Never mind. I'll figure it out, just go to your room, and we'll talk there," He stated, waving a dismissive hand.

 "Teru-"

"See you in a few minutes," Terushima told him, giving a wink before he ran to the back of the house.

Yamaguchi sighed, and walked back into the house. "Uh, Mom!" He called out. "I'm going to my room!"

"Why?" Someone shouted from the kitchen.

"Because, I'm tired, and I just really need to sleep," Yamaguchi said, adding a yawn at the end.

"Alright then," Yamaguchi's mom said. "Did you think about what we talked about last night?"

Yamaguchi bit his lip. His parents had a conversation with him about the Hanahaki disease, and why he should just get the surgery rather than dying. "I did, and I still don't want the surgery," He stated. "Good night!" He shouted as he ran to his room, hoping that his parents wouldn't come in.

"You know your window was open, right?" Terushima asked, startling Yamaguchi. "I don't think that's very smart..."

Yamaguchi exhaled slowly, and sat down at his desk. "What do you need?" He asked. "And, why did you have to sneak into my room?"

"Well, you were ignoring me, I had to find out about the Hanahaki disease from Saltyshima, and for all I knew you could've been dead already," He stated, holding up his fingers as he listed the reasons. "Do you want me to continue?"

 Yamaguchi shook his head.

"I just don't understand why you didn't tell me," Terushima stated. "I mean, I get that you would've had to tell me that you..." He trailed off, not really wanting to finish the sentence. He felt like if he did, he'd have to accept the fact that the Hanahaki disease was really all his fault.

"That I love you," Yamaguchi finished, his freckled cheeks flushing red. "I would've had to tell you that I love you, and I didn't know how you'd react. I didn't know if you'd yell, I didn't know if you'd walk away, I didn't know what you'd do, and that scared me," He confessed, tears pricking his eyes. "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you yelled at me right now."

Terushima raised his eyebrows, and he walked over to Yamaguchi, putting an arm around him. "I'd never yell at you for something like that," He whispered. "The only reason I'd ever yell at you is if you stole my food, or something," He joked, but when he heard a sniffle from Yamaguchi, he immediately started rubbing his back. "I'm sorry. I just joke to cope."

Yamaguchi gave in to his heart, and leaned against Terushima, although it hurt him. It hurt him to know that Terushima was only doing all this because he felt bad. Because he was blaming himself.

"I'm really worried about you," Terushima continued. "You're my friend, and I care about you. A lot."

Friend. That word echoed in Yamaguchi's mind. He knew that Terushima had meant it as a comfort, but it felt like a stab to the heart.

"Hey, remember when you asked me if I liked anyone?"

Yamaguchi nodded, sadness taking over. He was confident that the next words that would leave Terushima's mouth would be something about Himari.

"Well, I think I have an answer for you."

Yamaguchi bit his lip. "It's Himari, isn't it?"

Terushima pulled his arm away, and bent down in front of Yamaguchi, his almond colored eyes meeting Yamaguchi's. "No way. What would give you that idea?"

"W-well, it-it's just that-" Yamaguchi rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "-She seems to flirt with you. A lot. And, she's just really pretty, and she seems like your type, and she makes me feel like I'm inferior to her, and I guess I'm just really jealous of her, and-" Yamaguchi was cut off by Terushima placing a finger on his lips.

"I don't like Himari, and she doesn't like me," Terushima stated. "She flirts, because that's kinda her way of joking," He shrugged. "Plus, she's a lesbian, even if I did like her, I wouldn't stand a chance."

Yamaguchi sat in silence for a bit, then his eyes widened as he processed what he'd just heard. "You mean, I was worried for no damn reason?" He whisper-shouted.

"Yeah, pretty much," Terushima shrugged, giving Yamaguchi a smirk. "So, do you wanna know who I like?"

Yamaguchi nodded, his face red from embarrassment.

Terushima leaned over to him, and whispered in his ear: "You."

(A/N~ So, I guess you guys didn't have to suffer for too long. Curse me, and my impatience! Anyways, how'd you like this chapter? Just because I'm writing an angst doesn't mean I can't do fluff! Also, I apologize for my previous chapter. That was a terrible chapter, and the only reason it was like that is because I was trying to transition it from angst to fluff. Please forgive me for that garbage chapter.)
