2021 | New Year's

As I padded to a huge, two story house; other Pokémon running, others walking. Small, and large; baby or adult Pokémon alike head to it. Some jumping, as they are on caffeine. Others just slowly walking, knowing they will get there soon. Everyone is excited about the day today, no one wants to wait for the huge banner to go up; or the huge crystalline ball to be brought up in the air to later signal the end of this year.

As I inch ever closer to the house, a Braixen walks up to me, "Hey, isn't this a sweet sight to see?" He says in a joking tone. "Yep, you know who I am?" I ask, still trying to play along, "Aren't you Fenki the Fennekin?" He says, in the joking tone, but adds a country accent to it. I giggle at the comment, "Yep, I am!"

"Well, see you later!" He says, as he start running towards the house, 'Well, that was strange' I say to myself. I start to come closer, until my paws touch familiar wood. I look up, I see the beautiful interior of the house, other Pokémon running around, playing games, and just sitting around and talking. A little kit walks up to me, "Hewwo!" They gleam excited, then they run away. 

I start to walk onto the glossy wooden floor, and enter the warm air inside the house. "Welcome back Fenki!" A special Flareon runs to me and gives me a tight hug. The Flareon is covered in a chocolate ice cream material. Their collar, and tail fur is some whipped cream, with chocolate chips hiding in the cream. Their tail has a huge, ruby red strawberry.

"Hello to you too!" I hug back, cold to the touch, "I forget the you are some ice cream," I say jokingly.

"Yep! I hope I don't make you feel frozen this time!" He purrs happily, with a smile. He's smile turned into a red blush, then he let's go of the hug, "Sorry!"

"I-it's fi-fine," I say, but my ability to talk is diluted from the cold Flareon. He walks to get a blanket and places it onto me to try and help. I stay under the blanket, still frozen to the touch, shivering, "I'-I'll be fine,"

"I'm sorry! But who are you?" A Umbreon walk in and says, "I am Void," They say in a happy tone.

"I-I am Fen-ki-" I say, stuttering, "He is Fenki, and I am Flarecremie," He says.

"Oh, well, nice to meet y'all!" He says, as he walk away. I get up to walk to the couch, Flarecremie is in a close pursuit. I hop on it, my fur warmed by the soft leather sewn to make the couch. It filled with a premium stuffing from a very kind Dubwool. I lay there, cold and warmed by the couch. My Fire typing is really not helping.

"Hello Fenki!" Crystal walks in, "You cold?" She asked, seeing Flarecremie sitting next to me.

"Ye-yeah," I speak up. I curl my head under the blanket to hide a blush. I stay, and wait.

-- 1 hour later --

"Hey Fenki, dinner. Then the ball!" Emerald says, pushing her muzzle into my side to wake me, "I'm up," I state, being awoken. I get up, then stretching my hind legs out, then my font leg out.

"Thank for-" I start as I shake my head around, "waking me up!" I say, in a joyful tone. Her eyes reflecting her gem name. She has a piece of cloth around her neck, laying on her think Flareon neck fur. I start heading over to the kitchen.

A Umbreon, named Ex to up to me, then looks back at his food. Maxxi stays eating. Another Umbreon looks up, then blushes deeply, 

"Hello Fenki!" Reshiflare announces, "You will be dropping the New Year's crystal ball this year!" He says happily, as my eyes open up. My ruby red eyes wide, as I wished for this for years. I run to him, and gives him a tight hug. I sit down to start eating some salad, and berries happy for my time to shine. 

Clover, a Leafeon, walks to me to give me a hug. My eyes open wide, "Thanks Clover!"

"Your welcome!" She says happily. I ask when cake is going to be handed out to us, I was told when everyone is done eating. I sat there, done, waiting for cake.

-- After everyone was done eating --

"Fenki, want to hand out the cake?" I was asked. I hop out my wooden chair and pads over to the cake, cut the five cakes into equal pieces. There was just about enough cake for everyone to have one pieces of cake.

I being to walk slowly around the table. I sat down plates with cake on them to everyone at the table, then myself. After everyone was done with the cake, we all walked outside to the towns square to watch the ball fall to signal the new year, "Fenki, come here!"

I fallow them up on a metal platform. There was a huge red button on a metal box that has "New Year's Button" printed on it, "Push the button," The New Year will begin soon...

I push a button, and a crystalline ball on a metal platform rises up from the ground. I count from five, then push a deep red button. The platform tips over, then the crystalline ball rolls off; then hit a pool of water. This marks a new year, fireworks go off.
