The Texas sun beated down on the deserted streets and isolated buildings, creating a haze of orange to cover the town in preparation for sunset.
Most would welcome sunset as if offers night; a time of relaxation, to sit and cuddle up with your loved ones without no worries, a time to go to sleep and dream happy dreams. But for this particular town it only brings your most horrific nightmares alive...
A black haired girl sat in the back seat of a run down cab, as it carried her through a town, she thought she wouldn't be back in for a very long time. However, if you have happened to live in this town from a young age the first thing you learn is to expect the unexpected.
Her green eyes looked out from the back of the cab glaring into the buildings and roads she had called 'home', I didn’t want to be coming back to this godforsaken town, she had thought, but again I've had no choice.
The roads began to look more similar the closer she got, meaning the more anxious she became. Although the return was not her decision and she disliked this decision haven been made for her- she couldn't help feel the relief of seeing her family again.
She had missed them tremendously, her dads loving hugs and protectiveness of her when something threatens that security blanket that he's tucked tightly around her. And her mums craziness and the way she'd get into a happy little hype about anything, also her uncles laziness and his amazing chilli, her aunties smartness and the way she'd always try to get her to study.
She had missed them all and the only thing good about this return was seeing them.
And there they stood, Micheal Glass, Eve Rosser, Shane Collins and Claire Danvers. The most dysfunctional family any one is to meet.
Then there is the eighteen year old girl who belonged to none other than- Micheal and Eve.
The black haired, green eyed beauty named Amethyst.
