"eggs, eggs, eggs.. Kou, where's the egg section?" you asked Kou, your boyfriend, who decided to come along with you to buy ingredients to bake something together as a bonding moment. "It should be in the next aisle to our left, I think?" "Eh? Don't you usually go here?" "Teru-nii usually does the shopping, not me.." You sweatdropped then sighed, dragging the shopping cart to the next aisle.
"Oh? This is the dairy section!" you exclaim, quickly rushing over to the cold shelves. The orange blonde male followed behind you as you pick up two sticks of butter. "Hm... This brand or this one?" You mutter to yourself. Your lovely boyfriend noticed your internal debate over the sticks of butter and decides to help out a bit. "We should get the one that's easy to mix, [Name]." he suggests. You look over to him and nodded, putting down both butters and grabbing a different one. "Alright! Butter is off the list, now we just need... the chocolate chips and the eggs." you said, crossing off the 'butter' off the shopping list on your phone.
After 10 minutes of strolling through multiple aisles to find the remaining ingredients, the couple have finally arrived at the cashier area. Kou insisted on paying, saying that you should save up your money for next time and you hesitantly let him; now you are both on your way home. Luckily, the Minamoto household isn't that far from the grocery store. The exorcist opens the door for you as you were the one who carried the bags. He closes the door once you were both inside and went straight for the kitchen. "[Name], let me remove the groceries from the bag, you can prepare the bowls and the other stuff." you nodded and did as told, grabbing a mixing bowl, a whisk, and a tray. "Remind me why we chose cookies specifically?" Your boyfriend asked. "Because cookies are easier..?" Your answer sounded more like a question, which made Kou sigh and placing the ingredients on the counter. "Well then! Let's begin!!" he cheered, making you chuckle at his adorableness.
A few minutes had passed and.. you weren't the best at baking.. there are times when you accidentally spilled some of the dough on the table, and drop the whisk. Kou didn't mind it at all, he just helped you out which was really sweet of him. "Alright! We can now put these in the oven!" He exclaimed, a grin on his face. You giggled a bit and wiped the streak of flour on his cheek. "Thanks for helping me out when I messed up, Kou." He only smiled and kissed your forehead, saying "No problem, sunshine! I'm sure you'll get better at baking eventually."
You two relaxed in the living room as you both waited for the oven timer to alarm, mostly watching TV and cuddling. When the timer did go off, you both instantly rushed to the kitchen. Carefully taking out the tray from the oven and admiring the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. "They look really tasty.." "Shall we try them?" you nodded and picked one up, mumbling curse words since it was still hot. You took a bite and let your boyfriend bite as well. "Woah, these taste amazing!!" you exclaimed in joy, making the exorcist chuckle. "Well we baked them, they're bound to taste great." "Hm.. Makes sense." you said, taking another bite on the cookie.
"Let's save some for Teru-nii and Tiara, I'm sure they would like to have some." he added. You nod and plated the cookies, leaving them on the dining table waiting. Then you both just watched movies for the rest of the time being.
