Alright guys so country music fans you'll probably appreciate this sorry if you don't like country but while I was writing up the description for this book I found myself thinking of this song. I suggest you give it a listen. "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers. Rest In Peace Kenny.

Also please let me know what you think of the description I've never good at those at least I think so. So let me know I'd appreciate it.

I would also like to thank Sara04girbal for helping to persuade me to post this. She has an amazing book out that is also a brothers book and I suggest you check it out.

So without further adieu...Chapter One

Right now I'm standing on the street with my twin right beside me singing my heart out with my brother's hat in front of us on the ground with a couple of bills and coins inside. Lucas insisted that we put his hat out because right now it is cold outside as it is early November and it is the kind of air that nips at you and chills you to the bone and he didn't want me to put my hat out and lose whatever warmth I can possibly get from it.

So here we are busking on the street with me singing and my brother adding whatever type of percussion he can by stomping his foot or clapping his hands trying to get the crowd into it to earn more money. On occasion he might just sing along with me and when he does I love it the most because as much as he denies it he has a great voice.

We've been on the streets now for one week ever since we ran off from Ronald. When we ran off we were able to bring a few things in some old ratty backpacks that we have like three sets of clothes each including the sets we're currently wearing, a couple books, my old barely functioning camera, Lucas' notebooks, our sheet music and we were able to steal some money off of Ronald.

Unfortunately we weren't able to grab any food due to the locks he keeps on the cabinets and fridge that would only come off when he ordered us or most of the time me to cook for him. Our cash is also running low and we haven't been under a real roof to sleep this week not to mention we haven't showered and it is about to be two weeks.

I finish up singing the last song for the night and we stay standing for another minute after Lucas tells the crowd that's it for the night. We waited that minute or so for those who might want to give us some money and it was worth it because three people put some money in how much I don't know yet but I'm just thankful they gave us any. Lucas is quick to pick up the hat as the last person walks away and links my arm with his and grabs my hand.

I rest my head on his arm and then he asks, "Lily are you okay? We've done a lot today and it's getting real cold. It's supposed to be the coldest night so far from what I heard from the people passing while you were singing." As he says this he peaks down at my face and his overprotective big brother twin side is showing through.

You see from what we know from our crazy, druggie, abusive, no good mom before she died and our crazy father who doesn't deserve the title so we call him by his name, Ronald, we know a bit about why we are or more like I am the way I am.

Well someone may ask what way is that well here you go. For one thing I have a very weak heart. I can do everyday activities but with too much strain I get exhausted and am in pain, get dizzy, nauseous, headaches and other wonderful symptoms. Basically my body can't take too much stress emotionally or physically but I'm tough so I handle more than I should. Life has made me that way. In addition I also have some screwed up hips and have a couple good allergies like peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish. Lucas shares the peanut allergy with me so I'm thankful it's only that one. Add on some parting gifts from dear old dad and I'm a pleasant sight to see and health wise to deal with.
