Hanagasaku

The First Encounter

 6:00 am August 3rd 2085

As the rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The autumn leaves elegantly flowing through the wind as time passes by. The view from the window is where I go when I need just to chill. 

As I take a seat on the window pane and read my book, my mother called for me from downstairs, saying, "Araki could you come down here for on moment." I get off my window pane and scurry down towards my mom who was in the kitchen.

"Hey, You needed something Mom," I asked. My mom looks at me with a stone cold smile knowing I'ma have to do what she is about to say. 

"Oh yeah could you help me out with putting away the dishes," asked my mother. Without a second thought I scurry over to the dish rack and wipe the dishes down dry with a cloth. As I dry the dishes, I thought to myself "It has been only a week since I moved to Tokyo, maybe I should go into the city," As I finish up the dishes I muster up the courage to ask my mother if I can go look around Tokyo.

"Hey mom could I got look around Tokyo," I asked with a big smile on my face. As my mom looks at me with a cunning eye wondering if I should be able to or not. 

"Sure why not," my mother said however do not do anything stupid you heard me Araki. I look at her with a frightened face knowing what'll happen if I do something stupid. I walk out of the kitchen before she could give it another thought and rush up to my room to get ready. I grab my camera and my phone with my earbuds because I want to take pictures at all the cool looking stuff I encounter on this trip. 

Walking down the steps and putting in my ear buds as I take my first step out of the front door. I walk through the streets of Tokyo, the elegant smells wafting through as it makes my stomach growl. I scurry over to a fancy ramen shop and order myself a huge bowl of ramen to please my appetite. As I get finished with the huge bowl of ramen, I go to visit my new school I will be attending, Hanazaki High School. I heard it was a pretty good school, not that it matters anyways I am a quiet kid, plus it'll be my first day. 

"I will be the new kid for once, what if I become known as the weird kid because of me not liking to talk," I thought to myself scared of the day I will have to introduce myself to the new class. 

"Hey you, watch out" a girl said. Too deep into thought and unaware of my surroundings, a soccer ball hit my head, I dropped to the floor faster than the ball did. As I get back up and dust myself I hear a feint voice in the distance. 

"Hey, could you pass the ball," a person in the background said.

"Maybe I should go check up on him just in case" the worried female thought to herself. Not being able to make out what the person looks like I just pass the ball towards them, hopefully getting it to them. A huge headache ruptured my head as I start heading home feeling woozy. I start walking home but before that I go to the park to sit down for a bit. The afternoon breeze hits my head as I feel someone calling out to me.

"Hey, are you okay flower boy?" The giggling female said. 

"Huh, Is she laughing at me," I thought to myself. Not being able to make out there face I just nod to them as I relax on the trunk of a tree. 

Wait, Why is she calling me flower boy?" I thought to myself. The girl picked at my hair taking out the flower that was in my hair and gives it to me. Oh I see why, I must have been looking like an idiot since I had a flower in my hair. 

"Alright flower boy, I'll see you around," she says as she walks away and into the distance. 

"Jeez, what a weird day today and I have to go to the new school tomorrow, Jesus I'm really nervous, well there isn't any point in worrying about that right now," I thought to myself.

6:00pm August 3rd 2085

 I get up and start walking home, down the streets with the elegant smells and pass all the scenery. I finally get home, I go into the living room and sit on the couch to rest my head somewhere so it stops dishing out excruciating pain. 

I thought to myself, "Jeez one of those girls have a mean kick, I should go an play soccer for the new school." I get up, go into my room and check if I have all the soccer equipment. 

Now then, "What do I do about the new school day I have to face tomorrow?" I said to myself. 

"Hopefully the don't have mandatory school uniforms, I really hate school uniforms." I thought to myself. I exhale and pray that there is no school uniforms until I hear my mom call me from downstairs. 

"Hey Araki, do you have your school uniforms for tomorrow." My mother said. I sensed the sound of defeat as I heard those words coming from my mothers mouth. I believed I was going to prison, with these school uniforms. 

I rush downstairs and yell "Mom what do you mean school uniforms, I never heard about this." 

My mom looks at me with an evil smirk and says "Oh you haven't." I was convinced my mother was possessed by the devil. I fell to my knees as I faced defeat for the first time as my mom passes me the school uniforms for tomorrow. 

As I walk up the stairs and lay on my bed and think to myself "This is gonna be hell isn't it?" I lay down for another 10 minutes as I get ready to take a shower. I go to take a shower and head straight to bed.
