Plum stared blankly back at me: "Who?"

"My sister!" I said though gritted teeth. "She was in the intercom room with us."

"Amazing how you managed to forget about your own sister, Craft. Can you believe the guy?" Toby shook his head.

"Haha, love makes you forget everyone, doesn't it?" Jo laughed.

"Hey! You two forgot her too, you know!" I hissed.

"..."

"..."

"Whatever could you be saying, Craft? ...Of course we didn't forget Kyuu..." Toby said, looking anywhere but my eyes.

"...Haha... Yeah! We just... put her on hold!" Jo added.

"Well, we should get back!" Toby jumped to his feet and scuttled out of the area, closely followed by Jo. Plum just sat there, hesitating between laughter and annoyance.

"Sorry, I didn't notice her, Craft." Plum told me. I smiled at her, then looked at the door where my friends had ran away through.

"I'll fulfil your birthday request." I told her.

"You weren't going to?"

"Not where they could see me." A thought crossed my mind. "Say, Plum, do you love Craft or Ren?"

"What an odd question. At least it would be if I didn't understand what you meant..." she sighed, curling up into a ball. "It would probably have been clearer if you'd asked if I loved you or T'Ko."

"You don't act all lovey dovey with T'Ko, though. Even though you know the truth." I said.

"True. You're more talkative as Craft, anyway." She turned her head, looking at me. "Does it really matter to you that you're body and soul are separated, Ren?"

"... No." It's a simple uneasy feeling. Being in two places at once. "I'm used to it; it has been five years after all."

"What's the problem, then?"

"What is 'Craft'? T'Ko is obviously a supernatural existence, but normal people can see 'Craft'. So what does that make me?" I asked.

"Who knows? Isn't it up to you to chose? Do you even have to chose? You can be both, you know."

A light smile crossed my lips. The warm tingling spark of peace, flickering in my chest.

"Well! I'll be off to prove my love to you," I winked. "See you later, Plumbella~"

"Haha! Off with you! And how many times have I told you not to fuse my name like that?" She laughed as I ran away.

I couple turns this way and that and I found myself in the main hallway. Above head the speaker crackled:

"Okay everyone! On behalf of tonight's birthday girl's request, the last leg of the Tag Tournament will begin now! However, we have a special set of rules to go with it~! First, the person who will be 'it' is Ren. Secondly, whoever gets tagged is Out! They can't participate anymore. That is all! Game START!!!"

All the yokai, spirits, beasts, mythical creatures and ghosts just kind of froze there, the turned slowly towards me. Their eyes glowed with unconcealed irritation, excitement, bloodlust and several other emotions I'd really rather not identify.

"Shit."
