3rd Person POV
Autobot Base
Dante watched curiously as Optimus Prime listened to the message from Alpha Trion. "First Primus, then Alpha Trion," Dante muttered. "Who's next, Solus Prime?"
Optimus sagged, almost dropping the Star Saber.
"Easy, Optimus," Ratchet said, placing a steadying hand on Optimus's shoulder.
"Are you alright?" Elita asked worriedly.
Optimus nodded and stood up.
"So, did Alpha Trion ask about me?" Smokescreen questioned.
Dante walked over and smacked him over the head.
"What was the message?" Katie asked curiously.
"It is paramount that we recover the final four Iacon relics," Optimus replied. "The Omega keys."
"Keys?" Arcee asked in confusion.
"To what?" Elita asked.
"To the regeneration of our home planet," Optimus replied.
Everyone's eyes widened.
"Yes!" Bulkhead pumped a fist. "Pack your gear; we're going back to Cybertron!"
"I can't believe it!" Bumblebee exclaimed.
"Well, believe it now, Bumblebee," Ratchet said happily. "Civilization at last!"
"But I just got here," Smokescreen complained.
"Remember oil baths?" Arcee asked. "First thing I'm gonna do planet-side is soak for an entire solar cycle."
"Not that you need it," Dante said with a grin. "You look good enough already. Though I have to admit, I haven't seen you this happy since you beat me in sparring."
Arcee just grinned at him.
"I can't wait to tell Miko!" Bulkhead said happily. Then his face darkened.
"And... Jack," Elita said softly.
"And Raf," Bumblebee whirred sadly.
"Why are you all so sad?" Katie asked in confusion.
Dante turned to her. "Because they'll have to leave their partners behind."
"What about you?" Katie asked. "Will you go with them?"
Dante hesitated. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," he said, wrapping an arm around Arcee's shoulders. "But know this. I'm not leaving either of you. Not now, not ever."
"Um, Optimus?" Smokescreen spoke up, getting everyone's attention. "Keys open doors. Can they really revive an entire planet?"
"While I am unfamiliar with the lore of these Omega Keys," Optimus stated, "Alpha Trion knew many secrets, and the ancients possessed technology that has long been lost to what we consider modern science. Whatever their function, this much is certain: We cannot restore Cybertron without all four Omega Keys in our possession."
"Which means we can't let the Cons get any of them," Katie said thoughtfully.
"Four sets of coordinates from Alpha Trion remain encrypted," Optimus said. "It is logical to conclude that each corresponds to the location of one of the Omega Keys. I must not waver until I decode them all. The future of our home world depends on it."
