Fiona shivered with a cold gust of wind blowing her hair from her face. The adrenaline had worn off and she was finding herself grateful for allowing Erin to carry her. This guy was really sending some mixed signals today. It was just last night that he was falling asleep in her arms, then earlier brushing her off in the elevator. However she was too spent from the day to dwell on it. The wind started to pick up as Erin kicked the door closed. Heavy batting propellers buzzed in the distance. That's when Fiona looked up to see a breathtakingly enormous airship. A loud speaker crackled before a voice boomed through the space. "People of the Commonwealth, do not interfere. Our intentions are peaceful." Fiona stared in awe. "Hm, shit." Erin also intrigued. "We are the Brotherhood of Steel." They continued, the speaker hanging up. "Isn't that fun." Erin quipped before heading to the ramp. "What's the Brotherhood of Steel?" She asked, craning her neck to look over his shoulder. "bunch of losers playing soldier." "You don't like them?" "Eh, they're alright. Just easy to make fun of." He smirked. None of that really answered her question, but she didn't think he'd give her a good answer anyway. It was silent for a moment, aside from the clanking of footsteps and armor. He hopped slightly to get a better hold on Fiona. She suddenly felt a bit insecure, glancing to his arms. "Am I too heavy?" She asked softly. Erin chuckled.
Ugh he never gives me straight answers for anything...
She bit her lip. Of course she was worrying about her weight instead of the condition she was in. "Are you serious? You're serious..." He looked at her, somewhat in awe. She looked away embarrassed. "You could have internal bleeding or a punctured lung, and you're worried about how much you weigh?" Well it did sound stupid coming out of his mouth. "You weigh like, nothing." He scoffed, which was reassuring.
It was silent again, her gaze trailed to his right hand that was around her leg. "Oh what happened?" Fiona asked, moving her hand to point at his bloody knuckles. "Punched a synth." She held back a laugh. "Well that wasn't very smart." "Hah. Nope." The silence fell over them yet again, Fiona hesitantly rested her head on his chest. "So... Did it feel good?" She looked up at him, cocking her brow. "Killing Kellogg." He clarified. She thought for a moment, replaying the event in her head. She lost sight of Erin, simply focused on Kellogg. She aimlessly shot in the direction he disappeared to, he'd used a stealth boy the second the gunfire started. A bullet struck her bicep, she shrieked while fumbling her gun. Blinded by rage she charged in the direction, her eyes caught a rippling movement infront of a terminal. Fiona lunged without thinking grabbing the man. The stealth boy fizzed out and Kellogg was revealed. He gripped her right wrist, her left hand going for his neck. He grunted swinging his gun down on her forehead. Blood spewed from the split skin of her eyebrow as she jolted her head back. Ripping her wrist from his grip she dug her nails into his eye, pulling him down to the ground with her. Kellogg's gun clattered to the floor, Fiona took the chance to kick it across the room. He grabbed her on either side, ready to slam her head into the ground. Before he could, Fiona shot directly into his side, causing him to roll off of her clutching his wound. She scrambled to her feet, stumbling a bit with dizziness. Fumbling over herself she hunched over to strangle the man, but he was far too quick throwing her hands back. A small part of her was screaming just shoot him in the head, however the rest of her was too angry to think. Kellogg rose to his feet, any look of calm wiped from his expression. Grabbing her by the biceps, digging his thumb into her wound, he thrashed her against the terminal. Fiona kicked and screamed, the screen of the computer shattered at her shoulder the glass clattered to the floor around them. She didn't expect him to hold back, even though she's a child. However she certainly didn't expect to last this long.
She tucked her legs to her chest then shooting them straight, hammering her heels into Kellogg's jaw. He released her as he stumbled back spitting out a tooth or two. Glass crunched around Fiona hitting the ground. "I underestimated you kid...I'd imagined you were gonna hide behind the big guy. Let him take care of me." Kellogg remarked, wiping the blood from his mouth. She'd forgotten Erin was even there. She pushed her forearms into the ground attempting to get up. But her efforts were wasted, Kellogg booted her stomach with whatever force he had. She dryly gasped while blood shot out of her throat. She couldn't see out of her left eye from all the blood that had pooled. Her field of vision was greatly narrowed due to her hair coming undone around her face. "you just won't die, will you?" He leaned down, inches from her face, the evilest grin plastered on his disfigured face.
What are you gonna do Fi... You're gonna die if you don't use your head.
Doing just that she headbutted him straight in the nose. She clawed out from under him stumbling to her feet. Aiming her pistol right at his head, he took the pause to activate a stealth boy. "Fuck you. Coward!" She shot in the last place she saw him, obviously missing. A brush of air pushed past her, she could see the rippling in the nearby consoles, sprinting after him. But of course Fiona being Fiona, got her foot caught in a bundle of wires. Her chin smacked the ground but she sloppily pushed herself back up. At full speed she vaulted a console, now in the main area of the room. She spotted the rippling again and a wicked grin graced her bloodied face. The thrill of adrenaline rushed through her as she unloaded her last clip.
