It has been 11 years since that fated encounter with me and my "parents". Even though they had intended to keep it a secret. I know. That I am adopted. I mean it is kind of hard to keep it for someone one who can see other people's memories. I first figured out that I could see memories when I was seven years old. This had been two years after my parents had "adopted" me.

I had been eating my normal breakfast, a bowl of cereal and toast, when my mother had walked into the kitchen with a confusedexpression on herface.

"Honey, have you seen my glasses around anywhere?" She had asked me witha hint of irritation in her voice."

"No I haven't see-" That was when it happened... All of a sudden I blackedout and had had this weird vision. It was kind of blurry but I thought I saw my mother, and something that looked like a pair of reading glasses.

I saw her enter my father's study. She then sat down at his desk, put on her glasses and  started to read. It was some kind of document. I had my name on it and something about a word called adoption. (a couple days after seeing that I searched up adoption on my father's computer, and that was when I found out I was adopted) Soon after she started reading it she took off her glasses and rubbed her fore head. She looked kind of stressed out. A couple of seconds later she heard footsteps coming from down the hall. She quickly exited the room, and completely forgot about her glasses.

"Wow what a ditz," I thought to myself before everything began to fade in a hazy like manner.

My mother was holding me in her arms."Yuki?!", shesaid while practically screaming, "Yuki, WAKE UP!!"

            I finally regained consciou-

"Yuki are you awake," she said.

"OF COURSE I'M AWAKE, WHO THE HECK COULD SLEEP THROUGH ALL YOUR YELLING!!" I said while not knowing that I myself was yelling.

"Yuki are sure that you are well?", she said with concern, "you haven't been acting like yourself latel-"

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I said, "just put me down."

"I don't know are you sur-"

"YES!!" I said while  interrupting her mid-sentence.

"Okay, okay. I give in" she spoke with a sigh of defeat.

"Thank you", I smiled, "Now about your glasses, I think that they are in father's study."

After I said that she went off in a hurry to retrieve them and came back 10 minutes later."How...did you...know?" she panted, gasping for breath.

"Um...it was just a hunch." I half lied.

Even though at that time I didn't know that what I saw was one of mom's memories. I had soon figured out that whenever I saw a vision it was in fact a memory, and as the years progressed I had started seeing them more and more often. Eventually, overtime, I was able to control when I did and didn't want to see them. This unique ability does come quite in handy when you want to tell if someone is lying or hiding something from you.

Well enough about all of that old stuff. I think that it about time that I tell you a little bit more "normal" stuff about myself. My name is Yuki Otonashi. I am 16 years old now, and I currently reside in Tokyo, Japan. As for my school, I go to Otonashi High, and no this is not a coincidence. My Uncle is the head of the school, and as you may have already guessed I am indeed the student council president. I am currently in class 2-D, and am a second year, in high school. Also this is a  highly regarded and prestigious academy founded by my uncle Haruka Otonashi. He's a very laid-back man, the total opposite of my father Kyoya Otonashi. My father is very strict, and is always busy on some kind of business trip going to who knows where, and as for my mother, Yuri Otonashi,  she's a model/clothing designer. So she is just as busy.
