"Shit, shit! we're gonna be late!" Spencer said as he hoisted his pants up over his hips. He ran to the kitchen and placed a warm, quick kiss upon her head. "We gotta go! This is an important night for us, we're finally gonna tell the team about us!" he exclaimed. He pulled on his shoes, watching her as she gracefully tied her hair up into a low ponytail. In 5 seconds they were out the door and racing to Spencer's car.

--- Rossi's House ---

They arrived 10 minutes late to the party which had already begun. He spotted Derek and Penelope next to the chocolate fountain, sharing strawberries with each other and probably cracking some stupid joke. "Hey, let's go see what's going on over there." Spencer said as he whisked her away over to where they were standing. "Hey, Kid! Where were you? We thought you'd gone off to party without u-" Before he could finish was he was saying, his eyes met the girl. "Well, Spencer, aren't you gonna introduce us?"

"I was kinda hoping I could introduce her to the whole team together."

"That's no problem! Hotch, Rossi, JJ, Emily, Get over here! The kids got himself a girl!"

Spencer's face turned bright red as the whole gang walked over towards him. His hand squeezed tighter around her waist. "So this is what's been distracting you these few months!" Emily said. A cheeky smile grew across Spencer's face. "Everyone, this is Amelia!"

The team took turns giving Amelia hugs and shaking her hand. Spencer noticed her becoming overwhelmed by the group so he stepped in, "so, uh, what's for dinner?"

"Only my world's famous Spaghetti and Meatballs!" Rossi said with a harsh italian accent.

"Sounds delicious!"

"Well, it's just about ready. Give me another 3 minutes. Penelope, would you mind setting the table for me?" Dave asked.

"No problem! Your girl is on the job!" She replied.

The team sat down at the long dinner table. Spencer pulled a chair out for Amelia. Derek saw this and gave Spencer a quick smile. He blushed and sat down in the seat next to her. Rossi placed a giant bowl of Spaghetti and Meatballs in the center of the table. He sat down at the head chair and placed his napkin on his lap, "dig in!" He said.

---After Dinner---

Spencer helped Rossi clear everyone's plates from the table, then walked into the very extravagant guest bathroom. He locked the door and stared at himself in the mirror. He splashed water on his face and wiped it dry with the softest towel he had ever felt. He sighed and placed his hands on top of his head. What am I doing? This is going nowhere! She probably doesn't even feel the same way about me. What am I gonna do? He slapped his face a few times for a little motivation, and straightened his bow tie before opening the door. As he was leaving, he almost bumped into JJ who was just about the open the restroom door. "Oop- sorry Spence!" She said.

"No, that's okay, you're good." He awkwardly stood in the doorway, forgetting that she wanted to use the restroom too. "I gotta use the-"

"Oh, yeah, my bad!" He said, sliding out of the doorway. She giggled a little and shut the door before he could say anything more. That was probably for the best though, he had a tendency to ramble. He walked back into the kitchen and spotted Amelia sitting on a bench in the backyard. He walked towards her with his hands in his pockets and sat down next to her. "Uh, I think I'm gonna go now." She said.

"What? The party has barely even started yet!"

"Well, I don't really know anyone here and you kinda just left me to myself for a while. I'm not really having any fun." That last line made Spencer perk up. "Like at this party or with me?" She didn't say anything back, he had his answer. "Yeah, I'll just call a cab or something."

"Can we talk about this before you just get up and leave? We've been seeing each other for two months now, I think this deserves more than just a few words, right?" She was surprised, he seemed genuinely sad. This puzzled her as he had barely been spending time with her. He either had work or was hanging out with the team. "I'll call you, maybe. I just don't think this is working for me anymore." And with that, she walked away. Spencer managed to pick up his feet and walk over to the bar set up in Rossi's backyard. He poured himself a drink and stared out at his friends dancing on the dance floor. JJ noticed him saulking and walked over to meet him. "Watcha drinkin?" She asked.

"Uh, scotch." He gave her a sad smile and stirred his drink. She looked up at him, trying to figure out the reason for his long face.

"what's up with you?" She paused, "Where's Amelia?" Spencer gulped down the rest of his drink and placed the cup down on the bar. He turned to leave, but before he could, JJ grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Spence," she said, her face full of worry, "you know you can tell me, right?" He didn't feel like putting up a fight tonight, so he gave in. "Can we go somewhere with a little more privacy?" He asked. JJ raised her eyebrow.

"Of course, yeah." They found a set of chairs far away from the dance floor and they sat down. "Amelia and I, we broke up... I think."

"Aw, Spence I'm so sorry- wait, you think?"

"Yeah, she never explicitly said she wanted to break up, she said that she didn't really think we were working and then she left." His voice cracked a little, like he was about to cry. JJ heard this and rubbed his arm. He placed his hand on top of hers and smiled at her. Tears formed in his eyes, clouding his vision. He looked away from her and wiped them away. "Hey, Spence, it's gonna be okay."

"You promise?"

"I promise," she said back. He stood up from the chair, and so did she. He gave her a tight hug. They walked back bar and grabbed another drink. Spencer finished his in two seconds flat. "I think I'm done for the night. I just want to get home and get some rest." He said.

"You sure?" He nodded. "Alright then." She smiled and gave him a hug. He walked over to the rest of his friends and said his goodbyes, hoping none of them would mention the fact that Amelia was no longer by his side. He was relieved when he got through the round of hugs, that nobody had.

---Back at Spencer's House---

He pulled off his shoes and shirt, then his pants, leaving him standing in his living room in his boxers, alone for the first time in two months. He wanted to cry, he needed to cry, but he was too tired. He made it to his bed, and as soon as his head hit the pillow, he was out.
