HINIHINGAL akong nagising mula sa isang bangungot. Agad kong binuksan ang lamp sa ibabaw ng aking side table. Sa pagliwanag ay saka ko napansin na wala ako sa aking silid. Kung gayon nasaan ako?
Dali-dali akong nagpunta sa pintuan ng silid. Sinubukan kung pihitin ang busol ngunit hindi maipihit. It's locked from outside!
Where Am I? Panic rose in me! I tried searching every corner of the room but none of it showed familiarity. Suddenly I heard footsteps coming towards the room. I went back to bed and switched off the light.
"PLEASE get Ms Nieves to come to my office. Now." Ranji instructed his secretary thru the intercom.
Few moments passed, he heard the knock and then he told her to come in. He is just lazily lounging on his swivel chair with arms crossed his chest.
She came in with a straight face and formally greeted him. Hmmm. Always simple yet sexy.

Then better stop writing for now and focus on checking with other writers' works. Para maiba naman ang takbo ng stories mo." He told her callously.
Nakita niya kung paano lalong numipis ang labi ng dalaga sa pagpipigil na sumagot at magalit sa kanya. Kahit ang mga mata nitong hindi makatingin ng deretso sa kanya ay bahangyang naningkit. Kaya naman napangisi siya at nagpatuloy.
"Here! Take this with you before it goes to my waste bin. I am giving you two days to revise it." He pushed the folder of manuscript to her side.
"Two days?! I need at least a week to change the whole story." She said sternly. Hindi na napigil ang pagtaas ng boses at sa wakas ay tumingin sa kanya.
"Just two days. No more... No less..." aniya sabay mwestra ng kamay sa pintuan ng opisina niya na nagpapahiwatig na maaari nang umalis ang dalaga.
"I am not going to stop writing, Mr Wilding. I will revise this and resubmit." Halos manginig ang panga nito sa pagpipigil ng emosyon, nagmamadali ng tumayo at umalis sa kanyang silid. Hindi niya maiwasang mapangisi. Gone with the ''Boss" thing, huh.
Mukhang galit na galit nga ang dalaga sa kanya.

MABILIS ang mga lakad ni Brookes habang kipkip ang dala sa kanyang dibdib. Imbes na sa mesa niya pumunta ay dumeretso muna siya sa powder room malapit sa pantry nila.
