I thought this was the best sleep of my life, no stinging rays of sunshine against my face. I yawned and buried my face above the cool satin pillow beneath my cheek, the soft bedding under my weary form.

"Good heavens! I think I can lay here all day long," I murmured.

After I had enough of snoozing off,  I tried and reached out with one hand, looking for the light, only to be pricked by splintery wood.

"Damn! Why would there be a wood in my room?" I asked no one in particular.

I tried to open my eyes, but all I can see is darkness. I let my eyes, relax for a bit, maybe they're just strained. I managed to get the phone on below my pillow and turned it on. The screen lights so bright that I have to close my eyes for a while.

"WTF!" I screamed, hoping this was just a dream.

I'm used to staring at the sunrise, the warmth of the sun, the cool sea breeze and the serenity of pink skies.

Now –being blinded with the absence of light – is a frightful experience. Although the phone's brightness that makes my vision possible; I still don't know what to do! Breathing is a torture to me.
