since the beginning of hinata and kageyama's unique relationship, hinata always felt slightly insecure when things would get serious. he watched as these moments came easier for kageyama, as he was always ready to take those next steps each time they came. it always came down to hinata being the one to get too overwhelmed and ultimately "chickening out". hinata knew kageyama never minded, as they loved and trusted each other very much, but he also knew deep down kageyama had to have some sort of pent up sexual frustration.
they've been in a relationship since their third year of high school, but both of them have had some sort of tension between them since the day they've met. during those hormonal years of their teens, they of course thought of each other in that way. so when they finally got together right after they turned 18, hinata didn't think he'd be the one being so scared to be sexual with his boyfriend. with kageyama. the one he's thought about in that way so many times, though he'd never tell him that. nope, not a chance.
don't get him wrong, hinata really wanted to go there with kageyama, but every time their make outs would get a little too hot, or their hands would roam a little too much, he'd get overwhelmed and would make them stop.
he felt embarrassed because he feels that kageyama knows what he's doing more than hinata. even though kageyama is new to this too, as they're both fresh out of their third year, hinata is too embarrassed to bring up those type of conversations.
but hinata knew he was ready to take things further now. he was going to push those embarrassed emotions to the side tonight. there was no special occasion, but hinata himself was growing frustrated, so he knew kageyama had to have been falling over the edge.
hinata found himself running to the door when he heard his package was delivered. he ordered himself some thigh high black socks on a whim way too late for him to be thinking straight a few nights ago when he was wondering how he should catch kageyama off guard.
