"I want some cake!" The orange-haired boy annouced, scrunching his face as he dragged the pronunciation of his last word. The taller, short-haired boy raised his eyebrows as the younger marched around him, chanting 'cake' repeatedly in the background. "Haah?" Kageyama looked confused. "What's with you today?"
"Let's drop by the shopping district!" The younger boy flashed a grin. "Hurry or I'll leave you behiiiind!" He sang in a singsong voice before he dashed off, leaving his significant other to be dumbfounded.
A sigh made its way out of Kageyama, "You little..! Hinata, wait!" and he took off, running to catch up to his lover.

Kageyama stepped into the store that he saw Hinata disappear into, making the door chime with a melody. Inside, Hinata pressed his hands and face into the glass case that displayed a variety of cakes, eyes glittering with excitement. The taller stopped to catch his breath.
"Kageyama, which one should I get?", he questioned, eyes still fleeting over the various flavours.
"Huh?"
"Strawberry or chocolate?"
Kageyama raised his eyebrow, "What're you asking me for?"
"Hmm, I can't decide." Hinata stared hard at the glass display, almost offensively.
"Then buy both," Kageyama shrugged, disinterested.
"But that defeats the purpose!" He turned around and pouted at the taller who in return, rolled his eyes.
The orange boy grinned sheepishly at the movement, turning back to the lady at the counter. "One strawberry shortcake, please!", he said triumphly.
"Yes, sir!" The lady behind the counter smiled.
Kageyama's face softened with a barely noticeable smile. Really, this boy was too energetic sometimes.
They made their way out of the store, Hinata lightly skipping with a small, pink bag clutched in his hand. They walked absentmindedly to the nearby park which was deserted, given that the sky was turning a relaxing orange, making everyone disappear off to their own homes to prepare for sleep.
They chose to sit on a bench bathing in the last rays on sunlight, appreciating the quiet atmosphere around them.
"Here, half a piece!" Hinata smiled widely, and stretched out a hand containing a piece of the cake he had just bought. Kageyama stared at the piece confused, raising his eyebrow.
"Huh?"
"This half is for you!" he grinned. "I get the one with the strawberry! I even got us two forks!"
"Why? You were the one who wanted to eat cake.."
"Huh? You don't want any?" Hinata tilted his head.
Kageyama took a look at the other's pure face, "...of course I do," he mumbled.
"Of course you do!" he repeated with confidence, the grin returning to its usual place as a pair of hands politely took the slice.
Kageyama picked up the small plastic fork to taste the shortcake. The sweet cream spread on his tongue, making the edge of his mouth tip up slightly. He looked over to see Hinata grinning. "What are you grinning about?"
"Nothing!" his small grin was quickly replaced with a small pout as he finished his cake. He picked up the now-empty paper plates. "Well, shall we go home now?" he asked and made his way over to the trashcan.
