The fact that I didn't edit.
Genesis's POV:
After what had seemed like forever, we arrived at this large building in which many stores were nestled together.
The journey had taken a long time because we had walked all the way there. We figured that Payton's mother would realize if Payton's car was missing, so walking would be the smartest option.
"Okay, so this is the mall," Payton said as we stepped inside of the conglomeration of businesses.
"This place is huge," I said in awe.
"It's basically just a bunch of stores squished together," He explained.
"It's kind of overwhelming," I laughed awkwardly.
"Stick by me and I promise you won't get lost," He chuckled lightly and wrapped his arm around mine, almost locking the inside of our elbows.
A smile creeped onto my face as he looked down at me reassuringly.
"So we can walk around and if any shops catch your eye just tell me, okay?" He said as we roamed the vast hallways.
I nodded as my eyes explored the stores.
"What about there?" I pointed to a store that seemed to captivate my vision due to the large amount of people crowded inside.
"PacSun?" He asked.
"Uh ," My eyes traveled to the sign above, "No, Pacific Sunwear," I corrected.
"Yeah, that's Pacsun, Gen," He laughed, "It's an abbreviation."
"Oh," I mumbled.
"Well c'mon then," He said as he lightly pulled us into the store.
My eyes darted from item to item as I found myself breaking off from Payton.
"This is cute," I mumbled, picking up a light blue pair of sweatpants.
"Is that your size?" He asked.
I looked down at the tag.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"Then give it here," He held out his hand.
I hesitantly handed it to him and he just held it.
"Are you gonna do something with it?" I asked.
"No, I'm holding it so that we can buy it," He answered.
"But I just said it was cute. I didn't say I wanted it," I retaliated.
"Too bad because I'm getting it," He stuck out his tongue.
Another idiotic smile fell onto my face as I attempted to roll my eyes.

As I browsed through a clothes rack in a new store, I felt a light pull on my arm.
I turned in panic but was relieved to see Payton.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you," He apologized.
"It's okay. Did you need something?"
"Well I uh..." He stammered before revealing a light pink dress in his hand.
"I found a dress that you'd look pretty in," He mumbled.
"Huh?" I tilted my head in confusion. He murmured quite quietly so I wanted to be sure I heard him right.
