Jerobim was sat watching Xavier through the two way mirror. Jones took up his position beside his master.

'Do we inform Lucian now' asked Jones.

Jerobim swivelled in his chair and looked at Jones

'Lucian is not aware of the current situation and I would like to leave it like that for the time being'

He spoke with such finality that Jones decided not to debate the issue despite his own personal feelings.

Jones, who's actually name was Jinn had been a captain in Lucifer's Personal guard. He had defected to the Drakim and had enabled others to infiltrate the House of Lucifer. Once the assassination attempt on Lucifer failed, he fled to Earth with Lucian and had been assigned to Jerobim, who had become a key player in Lucian's plan.

Jerobim had proved unusually perceptive to Jinn's presence and whilst all of the others in Lucian's circle were unaware of their Guardians, Jerobim was able to see and communicate with Jinn. Neither of them had ever let on to Lucian that this was happening.

Jerobim shifted back into his chair

'So this is the infamous Xavier. Nothing more than a boy'

Jinn shimmered back into the spiritual plane

'From what I know of him, he is a formidable opponent. I am surprised he was caught'

Jerobim shot a look at Jinn, who he saw plainly, even though he had returned to his angelic form. Jerobim leaned forward and stared intently at Xavier through the glass.

'That begs the question why? Why would he allow himself to be caught?'

Xavier sat in the small brightly lit room. He had put his legs up on the table as if he didn't have a care in the world. Despite his relaxed pose, he was deciding what to do next.

Jake was hopefully on the plane to New York and He had to get back to Xaria, but this new turn of events had intrigued him. He needed to find out what was going on and if it was going to cause Gabriel a problem in New York.

Jerobim pushed the button on the microphone and spoke

'State your name for the record please'

Xavier said nothing.

'Do not make it harder on yourself than it has to be Xavier'

Xavier let his legs drop down from the table and stood up.

'You obviously know me, when will I have the pleasure of meeting you?'

There was a slight chuckle from Jerobim

'All in good time, I just need to ask you a few questions. If they are answered to my satisfaction, I will negotiate your release with the local authorities'

Xavier walked right up to the two way mirror and stared. Jerobim felt like Xavier was looking right at him. He lifted himself out of his seat and moved to his left, but Xavier stared straight ahead. Jerobim returned to his seat satisfied that Xavier couldn't see him.

Xavier stared at the mirror he was trying to remember where he had seen the guard who had brought him in. There was something about him, a presence that he hadn't sensed right away. Usually Xavier was highly attuned to things on both the spiritual and physical realms.

He closed his eyes and concentrated, allowing the initial meeting and the exchange between the airport security services to wash over his mind again. He flinched slightly as an image from ages past flashed across his minds.
