Claire’s POV

What a beautiful day, not. Of course after I have wrecked my old school I would’ve to move to a new school. This means new friends. But really – I don’t think I have any friends. Always been the loner, always will be the loner.

Well I did hang out with some people, but I wouldn’t call them friends, more like brothers. We get drunk together, smoke, we do dangerous sports together, get into fights and do illegal things that I’m sure you wouldn’t want to know. But, my “so-called-brothers” and I are not those kinds who just destroy things for fun.

Back to the present, I checked myself out in the mirror. Curled hair, check; makeup, check; “stay-away-from-me” clothes, check. Now that I think about it, I was at this place, San Francisco, when I was a toddler – maybe older.

His messed up brown hair from the wind, the way he laughs, the way he smiles.

“Claire! Let’s go to the slide.”

“Okay Andy.”

He, who lead me to a life filled with rainbows, unicorns and skittles.

“We will marry each other when we are older right?”

“Yes Clay. But I don’t want to have your baby...”

“Why not?”

“Mom says you’ll get hurt if you have a baby, I don’t like you in pain.”

“But I like you.”

“Yeah-“

“CLAIRE YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS GET OUT OF THE HOUSE.”

Mom’s screeching voice made my ear bleed as I snapped out of the enchanted world of flash backs. Claire, you are not that kind of girl anymore. Big girl now. No longer a weak girl. Get over it. Everybody has a weakness, I guessed I just showed mine.

Not wanting my mom to kill my ears, not like they aren’t dead yet because of her repetitive shouting, I ran down and grabbed my car keys and head out to school. I’m confused why some people say that bad boys and girls ride this huge bikes. Such stereo-typed people.

As I step down the school, people continuously stared at me like I’m some sort of disease. Relax people I don’t have STD. Decided to ignore the stares, I walk down to the office the way that I think was. Oh there it was.

“Can I have my schedule,” I asked as nice as possible thinking I might as well be nice to the secretary if I want her to let me get away with some things.

“Name?” She snapped.

Okay never mind.

“Claire O’brien.”

“Here’s your schedule.”

As soon as she gave me my schedule I made a quick turn and went out to my first period, French. But being the new kid means I do not know where any of this places were and just because I got lucky for the office doesn’t mean I’m going to be lucky for all of this places.

“You’re the new girl?” a girl asked me. Thank god.

“Yeah. The name’s Claire.”

“Hi I’m Sarah, I’ll show you around.”

She seemed fairly nice, considering the fact that everybody was scared to talk to me because of my clothes. I mean who even judge each other through their clothes anymore? Oh right, everyone.

“Here’s French class for you. I’ll pick you up later ‘kay CL? It’s okay for me to call you CL right?” (I TOTALLY DID NOT TOOK THE NAME FROM 2NE1 IT JUST POPPED INTO MY MIND)

“Yeah, I’ll just call you S then.”

I walked into the class, with my head held high even though I did not know what might happen and all such. Don’t be scared, brave girl, your confidence you gained up all these years is now coming to use.

“Tournez à la page 158-“

 I pushed the door open.

“Oh you’re the new student? Introduce yourself to the class.” Ms. Francois, as it says on the name plate, said with a thick French accent.

 “Claire O’brien.”

“Okay,” Francois said awkwardly. “The only open seat is next to Andrew Carter. Mr. Carter raise your hand please.”

A hand was raised at the back of the class. The owner of the hand has this caramel coloured messy hair and beautiful blue eyes. Not wanting to be noticed staring, I just walked down the class as soon as I snapped out of it.

The boy next to me, or man. Claire don’t start thinking about the guy’s virginity. Okay never mind I already did. He can still be a virgin though. GAHHH STOP THINKING ABOUT THE GUY'S VIRGINITY!

To stop me from thinking about more of such, I just put my head down on the table and took a nap. Thank god I was at the end of the class. But before I drift to sleep, I feel something being thrown at me.

“What do you want?” I hissed at the dude, or Andrew.

“Why would you want to sleep when you are sitting next to a handsome one like me?”

 “Because my beauty beats him.”

“Are you really a girl? Because your ego is bigger than a guy’s.”

“Last time I checked, you were a girl too. But that was ages ago, so I'll take that as a compliment.” Then I drifted to sleep.

But before actually fell into a dreamless sleep, I heard a mumble.

  “I found you Clay.”
