{3rd person POV}
The Ginger continued the next few weeks the same. Woke up, possibly get beaten depending on how his father was feeling, get Natsu ready and drop her off at school. Lie to his teammates about the pain he’s going though while practicing. Get through school, have his last practice, pick up Natsu from school. Go to work, protect her from they’re father, clean his wounds and then finally sleep once again.
He tried his best to make sure that no one knew what he was dealing with on a daily basis. He didn’t want their pity, he didn’t want people to treat him differently because he is essentially a single teen parent due to the fact that he has to take care of Natsu everyday; go to work to make sure that she didn’t starve and that she would have a better childhood even though he knew it wouldn’t be a normal one.
It consintally ate at him that he couldn’t do more for his little sister, that she had to be scared just being home with their father. He constantly blamed himself for the hardships of him and his sister. It had been almost a full month since he ‘fell’ off of his bike and the beating was getting worse because he wasn’t there as much to take the beatings, so when he was there it was even worse than before. So when he woke up that morning he could barely move, eventually he got up and bandaged every inch of himself and got dressed.
He went to Natsu’s room and took the key from his pocket to open the door- it had a key lock on the outside to prevent their ‘father’ from being able to open the door while she could lock it from the inside- he went in, closed the door and locked it behind him. He quietly made it over to the sleeping ball of sunshine in front of him and gently shook her while saying, “Hey Natsu I know you're tired but it’s time to wake up, come on I got to get you to school Okay?”. She slowly started to open her eyes as she was waking up. “Okay Onii chan...” she said groggily after yawning.
Eventually they were both awake and out the door, however they were running late. Due to the fact that Natsu’s school was still a ways away and that she can’t be let into school after it starts Hinata had to take Natsu with him to school. It hurt a lot to get there though, he could barely move without being in pain because of the brutal beating he previously got the night before.
~Flashback to when Hinata got beaten~
{Hinata’s POV}
I finally got home after working for a few hours, and I was exhausted. I really wanted to not get hit today so I tried to be as quiet as I could entering the house-Natsu went through the window to my room like always so she wouldn’t be hurt to- as soon as I was halfway to my room I heard something come from down the hall.
“HEY BITCH GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE BEFORE I GET EVEN MORE PISSED!”
It sent shivers down my spine “Y...Yes Father...” Fuck! I shouldn’t have of stutterd now he’s going to beat the shit out of me!
“BRAT DON’T YOU DARE FUCKING CALL ME THAT! YOUR SO FUCKING DEAD TODAY FOR THAT SHIT!” FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! NO NO NO! I can’t deal with this shit today, I have a practice match tomorrow! I better fucking hurry up otherwise this is going to be even worse! “Yes S..Sir” I quickly but silently made my way to the living room where he was sitting on the couch. I soon realized that he was drunk too, and there is no fucking way out of this too. Shit.
“OI SLUT! Get your ass in front of me know” He said that in a stern voice, changing from his raging one to a quiet one. I then stood in front of his terrifying figure. Before I realized it, I was already against a wall opposite of where I was. He had thrown me across the room. There was a mirror on the wall behind me and it shattered as soon as the force of my body slammed into it. The large shards embedded themselves into my side, a few large pieces sticking out off my side.
