Summer Party

Party?

I was lying in my beloved bed nang marinig ko ang nakakarinding tinig ng kapatid ko.

"But mom! I badly want to go to that party! Its the party I've been wanting to attend to. Please let me go." Sabi ng kapatid ko. Her voice coming from the kitchen. Hindi sa chismoso ako, i just want to know ano yung pinag aawayan nila. And besides, I'm thirsty so i decided to go down.

"Ella, i said no. Gabi na. Wala kang kasama. It's dangerous. Babae ka pa naman" sabi ni mama while eating salad.

"Please ma. Everyone woud be there! Di ko talaga to palalampasin." Ella said pouting. And I find that gesture annoying. Parang bata. Kumuha nalang ako ng tubig sa ref and when I look back at ella and mom's direction, ella was already smirking at me. Oh god. I think this is bad.

"Moom?" Sabi ni ella na pa  cut with matching those puppy eyes. Di naman siya aso -____-

"I said NO ella. Wala kang kasama at delikado. Waag mo na kong guluhin."

"Kuya Kurt can go with me ma! "

"WHAAAT ?! " There's no way I'm going to that party. I hate parties. It's too loud.

"Yes kuya. And besides wala kang ginagawa kain tulog ka lang. Mananaba ka talaga nyan." She laughed. Remind me to cut her head later.

"No i won't go. It's just a waste of time tsaka el, klase na next week. Wag ka nang gumala"

"Yan nga kuya eh klase na next week. I want to savor this moment. Minsan lang ang bakasyon kuya. Please! "

"I'm immune to that puppy eyes technique ell. I won't." Sabi ko habaang iniinom ang tubig sa baso ko. Papunta na sana ako pabalik sa kwarto ko when my mom speak

"Why not son? Para na din makalabas ka ng bahay. Nagmumokmok ka lang dito eh. Para na din may kasama kapatid mo. "

"I thought you were against about this party? Bakit pumapayag ka na? At dinamay nyo pa ako! Geez mom."

"Well yes. But that was moments ago. And ella is dying to go to that party. Matitiis mo ba kapatid mo? Paano kung may mangyaring masama sa kanya tulad ng nangyari kay kr-"

I cut her off. "Enough! Okay. Im going. Tsss"

"Affected ka pa rin kuya." Ella said while teasing me.

"Shut up or I won't go with you." Sabi ko while heading back to my room. I changed my clothes then headed down stairs.

"Wow ang gwapo nman ng kuuya ko."

"You're just saying that to make me feel better. Well to tell you, I'm not feeling any good." Sabi ko while getting inside the car.

Pumasok din naman si ella. "Sungit talaga. Tss"

"Mana sayo" I started the engine and drove off sa sinabing address ni ella. After a couple of minutes, I heard loud party musics and lights sa isang malaking gym. I guess the venue's here. Well, not that bad. Malaking party pala talaga ito.

"OMG I'm so excited! Kuya do i look okay? Wala bang something dirt sa mukha ko?" Sabi ni ella while glancing at the side mirror.

"If I know gusto mo lang pumunta kasi nandito boyfriend mo.

I saw ella blushed and looked away.

"I guess so." Ella then opened the door. She said something to me before closing the door.

"I'll be going kuya. I'll be back here sa kotse mga 11pm okay? Bye!"

The silence is deafining when ella went inside the party. Kinuha ko nalang ang earphones ko at nag soundtrip sa phone ko. 20 minutes passed when something caught my attention.

A girl in a white dress looking at the welcome banner sa party. She was so pretty. I don't believe in love at first sight, but I guess i need to change my opinion now. She looked back sa car na sinakyan niya. She smiled and waved her hands as the car drove away from the party. She looks like an angel when she smile! Ampowta. Why does my heart beats faster?

I decided to go after her at pumasok nlng sa party to ask her name and see her when I saw ella crying and running towards my direction.

"Kuya! Let's go!" She said between her sobs.

But I want to go inside and folllow the pretty girl but when I looked back at where she's standing a while ago, she's already gone.

"Ella please let me explain! " I saw Justine at hinahabol niya si ella. She's ella's boyfriend.

Natauhan ako. I wanted to know the girl but I know my sister needs me more now.

"Back off! Wag kang lalapit kay ella!" I said giving him a glare.

"Kuyaa tara na!" Ella shouted. She's already in the car, crying. Tumakbo na ako sa kotse.

"Wag ka ngang umiyak. Ang pangit mo lalo. You don't deserve a guy like him. Hindi ko alam ano ginawa niya bat ka umiiyak ngayon but he never should have made you cry. It's not you're loss. It's his." I said to comfort my sister. Kahit makulit to, i still care for her.

I glance at the side mirror. Nakita ko si Justine nakatayo lang dun crying. I took a glance back sa party. I didn't meet her. I did'nt have the chance to ask for her name. When will I see her again? But one thing is for sure,

She captured my heart in just seconds and I'll do anything to find her.

I guess parties are not that bad afterall.
