Ch. 4

Angel, angel, what have I done?
I've faced the quakes, the wind, the fire
I've conquered country, crown, and throne
Why can't I cross this river?

Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle

Or you'll never make it over the river

It'll take a lot more than words and guns
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
The hands of the many must join as one
And together we'll cross the river

Taiyo was walking down the street as he saw Kanata.

"Hey Taiyo," Kanata calls out. "You ready to go?"

"I guess so." Taiyo shrugged.

"Good, let's get going then." Kanata and Taiyo start walking.

"So where are we going anyway?" Taiyo questioned Kanata.

"To a restaurant called Garden Terrace." Kanata said as the restaurant came into view.

Taiyo and Kanata sat across from each other at a table outside as Lecty came to the table wearing a maid outfit.

"May I take your order?" She asked Kanata not seeing Taiyo.

"Two black coffees please." Kanata said.

"Why two Mr. Kanata?" Lecty said writing the order down.

"Hi" Taiyo said as he waved.

"Oh...um...I'm so sorry I didn't see you. I'll get those drink out right away." She said and walked away.

"So what's the deal Kanata? Why is your student here in that outfit?" Taiyo asked motioning to Lecty.

Kanata leaned backwards a little with his hands behind his head. "I'm just trying to make her more confident."

"Well if working at a restaurant in that revealing of an outfit doesn't work then I don't know what will." Taiyo said as Lecty came back with there drinks.

"Here you go, two black coffees. Will there be anything else?" Lecty questioned putting Kanata's and Taiyo's drinks in front of them.

"I'm going to start drowning my sorrows so bring me out a parfait or something." Taiyo said in a monotone sarcastic voice.

"Cancel that Lecty, we're good here." Katana said as Lecty bowed and walked away. "You don't need to drown your sorrows. So what if Freon dumped you, you just need to move on." Kanata took a sip of coffee.

"You don't understand Kanata she.."

"She was the best thing to happen to you in that two years you guys were together." Kanata cut Taiyo off. "You always said that before you fell down to Earth."

"What man." Taiyo took a sip of coffee.

While the two men were chatting and drinking their coffee, off in the distance in the shade of a few trees, a hooded man was watching Kanata and Taiyo.
