Chapter # 9

The match continued but the Butterfly team wasn't able to make a single goal. Hikaru's team had already made 6 Goals.

"What's happening? Why aren't we able to make a single goal?", JuJu panted.

"Give it up brats! You should have learned by now that you're no match for us" , Hakuryuu leaned towards them with a smirk on his face.

The kids were all disappointed and sad, their eyes were filled with tears as some of them started sniffling and sobbing.

"We're sorry..." They said as some of them started to back off from the field.

"No, it's okay!" Taiyou said. "We just wanted to see how much you all know soccer."

"Now you know! We're nothing but a bunch of losers.." JuJu sniffled as he wiped his tears. The rest of the kids already left the field. A look of disappointment was spread on Koji's face as he gestured JuJu to leave too.

"No! Don't leave", Taiyou yelled after them. He then turned to see Hikaru's and Hakuryuu's reaction but it seemed like they weren't bothered with it.

"Guys, we were supposed to help them not crush them!", He argued. Hikaru and Hakuryuu exchanged a quick glance then Hakuryuu marched towards him.

"We didn't crush them, we brought them back to their senses", he crossed his arms behind his white puff of hair. "They deserved this!"

Taiyou shook his head and then turned to Hikaru, "You think that too?"

HIKARU'S POV

I was startled at the question asked. I knew we shouldn't have done it that much but a part of me did felt that they indeed deserved it.

I nervously glanced from Taiyou to Hakuryuu. I felt like I've disappointed people again. Sorry, I'm not useful.

"So?" Taiyo's voice brought me back to the present.

" Umm, we should probably talk to them..." I knew the words that came out weren't enough to convince Taiyou. But he took a deep breath i

"Let's follow them then." Taiyou turned around to walk.

"What about her?" Hakuryuu asked. I followed his eyes to see that Tori san was sleeping on the bench.

Taiyou was about to call her but I grabbed his hand and shook my head. He looked baffled and I knew I had to explain him.

"It's no use, she wasn't interested in all of this since the beginning."

"How can you say that?"

"From the moment we met her, did she ever mention anything about her liking soccer?" When he didn't say anything, I added "She'll just waste our time."

"Well, she's not wrong", I was surprised to hear Hakuryuu agreeing with me on something but I guess it helped as Taiyou smiled and asked us to follow him to the school.

As we went in, we saw a shed like room where all the stuff for soccer was placed and the kids were coming out of it after changing their uniform.

Taiyou approached a little girl, her name was Momo or something. Well, she wasn't in a mood to chatter with us as she ran off like we were the bad guys.

Bad guys! Yeah we were really bad to them. Although it didn't particularly look that bad to me but from these kids' perspective, we were some big old bullies who don't want them to play soccer again.

Anyway, we finally spotted Koji and approached him. Taiyou kun talked to him about how our way of showing them off was wrong and that we were just interested in teaching them the value of playing soccer and stuff...

My mind wandered off, as Taiyou kun continued his humble argument. The kid looked Impressed and Hakuryuu was yawning. Well can't blame him when I'm not listening to this conversation either.

My train of thought was halted as the kid said something to me.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Teach me your goalkeeping skills, please!!", He bowed down to full 90°. "I still wanna be the the greatest goalkeeper, so please!!"

Authors Note:  I'm sorry for not updating this story for the long time... Wattpad was banned in my country for a while. I saw a draft with 2 lines written and thought at least I can write this chapter. Sorry if it's short, I wrote this when I used to watch inazuma eleven Go, so I'm going to have trouble remembeing names of hissastu techniques various characters use. I'll make sure update it as much as I'd get the time. Enjoy
