Chapter Fourty-Two: Presents and Emotions

"Time for presents!" Tadley clapped. Everyone gathered around me, and Tadley started handing me presents. "This one is from the boys."

He handed me a small square box and i pulled off the wrapping paper and saw a little velvet jewelry box. I opened it and saw a cute little necklace. It was a crescent Moon that said 'I love you to the moon and back' and connected to the moon was a heart that said 'mom' in the middle of it.

"Awwww, thank you! I love it!" I pulled Joey and Cade into a tight hug and gave them each a kiss on the head.

"You're welcome, mom!" Joey grinned proudly.

"This one is from me!" Tad handed me another small box and i let Cade help me pull off the wrapping paper, it was another jewelry box. When i flipped open the velvet lid i gasped at the beautiful ring inside. It had a heart, and inside the heart was another heart that had a heart shaped diamond, each side of the band had diamonds and little diamond chips running along the band. The band also had an engraving inside that brought tears to my eyes. 'My family, My heart, My joy'

"Thank you, i love it!" I looked up at Tad who was grinning at me widely. I pulled him down and gave him a passionate kiss. Once we pulled away from the kiss i opened everyone else's gifts, and then thanked everyone. I was about to stand up from my seat when Tadley stopped me.

"You have one more." He explained. "This one is from Joey." He hands Joey a present and Joey came over and handed it to me with the biggest and most happy smile i have ever seen on him.

"What is it?" I asked him curiously.

"You have to open it to see!" He grinned giving nothing away.

"Awww, come on! Just a little teeny tiny hint?" I begged him playfully.

"No way, mom! You have to open it. No hints." He refused to budge and i pouted playfully at him.

"No fun!" Joey continued to smile at me and i pulled the foil paper off and saw the back of a picture frame. I turned it over and stared at it in shock for a minute. My brain would not comprehend what i was seeing right now. Once it started working again i was bawling like a baby. Inside the picture frame was adoption papers.

Joey wants me to adopt him! I pulled him into a hug and continued crying as i clung to the sweet little boy that was thrown into my life so suddenly but so quickly became my whole world, and the adoption papers in my hand.

"So will you?" He mumbled into my neck as i continued hugging him to me tightly. "Will you be my real mommy?"

"Yes! I would love nothing more than to be your real mommy." He pulled back from the hug and started jumping up and down happily. Then he launched himself at me again and hugged me tightly once more. "I love you so much, sweet boy."

"I love you too, mommy!" I smiled and pulled back, wiping my eyes. I can't believe he did this, he wants me to be his mommy! He wants me to adopt him, this is the best birthday present in the world.

"I got you guys something at the mall today!" I stated happily.

"You got us presents on your birthday?" Joey asked looking at me like i was crazy.

"Of course she did, that's just how your mom is." Tadley chimed in. I took out the gift bags and handed it to them and watched as they opened them together and then looked at me wide eyed. Tadley held up a shirt that said 'Be nice to me my wife is pregnant.' and Joey held up a shirt that said 'Big brother.' I pulled Cade's onesie out and showed it to them as well. It also said 'Big brother.' It was so silent you could hear a pin drop for a minute and then everyone was yelling and talking at once.

"Are you serious?! Are you sure?" Tadley asked immediately still wide eyed.

"Oh Jesus! Y'all are gonna have thirty kids by the time you're thirty if you guys keep this up." Lacey said shaking her head, but she had a huge smile on her face.

"Another babyyyyyyyy!!!!" Ava squealed.

"Damn, Tad!" Reese smirked at Tadley.

"We're going to be grandparents, AGAIN!!!! We've got three grandbabies!" My mom sobbed.

"I was not expecting that!" My dad exclaimed as he comforted my mother.

"THAT'S WHY YOU WOULDN'T DRINK THE MARGARITA AND WHY YOU'VE BEEN CRYING ABOUT EVERYTHING TODAY ISN'T IT?!"James practically shook the walls with how loud he was screaming over everyone.

"Ahhhh!! I'm getting another nephew or niece!" Ashley squealed happily.

"Congrats, guys!" Kyle smacked Tadley on the back.

"Yay!!!! Babyyyyyyy!" Karlie cheered.

"How far along are you?" Gina asked curiously, but she had happy tears in her eyes as well.

"Congratulations you two!" John grinned proudly.

"Tadley, yes i'm sure, i've been to the doctor a few times. I was once again wanting to wait until the second trimester since we had so many problems before we had Cade. I'm thirteen weeks. I'll be in my second trimester next week." I started explaining. "Yes, James. That's why i wouldn't drink a margarita and why i've been overly emotional."

"I'm going to be a big brother again?!" Joey asked bouncing in his spot excitedly.

"Yeah, you are, buddy!" I responded. "You wanna see a picture?"

"Yeah!" He exclaimed with no hesitation. I pulled the picture out of my bag and showed it to him. Tadley was instantly by my side looking at it as well.

"Awww!! Cade, look! You're gonna be a big brother too!" Joey cheered. After my boys finished looking i passed it around for everyone to see. I'm not showing yet, so it was easy to keep being pregnant a secret. I had a feeling that this pregnancy is going to be like it was with Cade and within the next couple weeks i'm going to wake up with a big ass belly that popped up out of nowhere.

"When did you find out?" Tadley questioned.

"When they did blood work at the doctor's office. They called me back and told me i was pregnant and that i needed to make an OBGYN appointment. I was so scared because of our struggle with Cade. Dr. Michaels said it would be much like it was with Cade. I'd need to come in for check ups frequently because i will have IUGR with this baby as well, so i won't be able to go to term with this baby either. I'm sorry i didn't tell you, i wanted to make sure everything would be okay before i mentioned it. I know how badly you wanted another baby, i didn't want to tell you and then something happen and you be disappointed." I explained.

"WE'RE HAVING A GIRL, I'M CALLING IT NOW!" Tadley shouted.

"I'm going to laugh if we have another boy every single time we have a new baby." I smirked at my husband. He glared at me.

"Shut your dirty mouth!!"

"What do you want the baby to be, Joey?" I questioned with a smile.

"Sister!" He cheered.

"That's my boy!" Tadley grinned proudly. I smiled and playfully rolled my eyes.

"You want it to be a boy, don't you baby?" I asked tickling Cade's little belly. Cade started babbling and i laughed and kissed the top of his head. "Looks like it's two against two!"

I can't believe we're having another baby. We're gonna have three kids...life is about to get so much more hectic, but so much more blessed!
