I'm sixteen weeks today, and we find out what we are having tomorrow! It's been a huge debate throughout the family, whether it's gonna be another boy or a girl this time. I'm going to be happy either way, but i keep telling Tad that it's gonna be a boy just because i like messing with him and annoying the ever loving crap out of him. I mean, what are wives for?

Another important piece of information... THE ADOPTION HAS BEEN APPROVED! I got the adoption certificate in the mail, and Joey is officially my son. We haven't told him the news yet, he's been asking everyday since we filed the adoption papers. He's been so excited about this, and i know he's going to be so happy when he hears it's official.

We have planned to take Joey on a picnic, while my parents keep Cade. We want to deliver the news to him by himself so that we can focus on Joey after we announce it. We're going to celebrate as a family as well, but right now we want to focus on Joey.

"Should we really take him out of school early today? I know this is super exciting, but i don't want him to miss out and get behind on his schoolwork." I said as we pulled up outside of Joey's school.

"Babe, he's super smart, and missing the rest of the school day isn't going to hurt anything. He's literally got maybe three hours left of school anyways." Tadley assured me.

"Fine...but just this once! We're not making a habit out of this." I warned giving him the mom look.

"Yes ma'am!" I smiled and we got out of the car and went in to sign Joey out early, we walked outside the office and watched as he came walking down the hallway carrying his bookbag and sporting a confused look on his face.

"Mom....dad.....is everything okay? Why did you sign me out of school?" He asked as he walked up to us.

"Because we're gonna spend the day with you. We're gonna go have a picnic by the lake!" I know how much Joey loves picnics by the lake.

"Really?!" He exclaimed his entire face lighting up happily.

"Really Really!" Tad grinned. I smiled and gently squeezed Joey's hand as he reached up to hold mine. We walked out of the school and got in the car, driving to the lake.

"Do you have any homework?" I questioned looking back at Joey in the backseat.

"No, we've not had much work since spring break is in a few days." He explained. We continued to talk about his day as we pulled up into the parking lot. We all climbed out and grabbed everything and then went and walked through the park down by the lake. We picked a spot by some wild flowers and laid a blanket and the picnic out, we hired a photographer to capture these moments of us.

"Sooo... I have something for you, honey." I smiled.

"What is it?" He questioned. I pulled the framed photo out that i had wrapped and handed it to him. He looked at me in confusion and i just grinned at him.

"Open it!" I encouraged.

"What is it?" He asked again.

"You'll just have to open it and see!" He tore off the paper and flipped the frame around and looked at the certificate. "It's official. You're my son!"

His head snapped up to look at me, and his lower lip trembled. His eyes filled with tears and he jumped at me. He sat in my lap and hugged me while we both cried happy tears together. "You're really my mommy?" He whimpered questioningly into my neck.
