Sydney sniffled, a single salty tear ran down her left rosey cheek, small pale hands ran through her reddish brown silk textured locks. The girl swallowed a lump that had been building in her throat the whole morning. This would be the last time she'd look outside to see that paint horse in that emerald covered field while that blue sky smiled down on them. But today she had been adopted. Adopted after five years of not being wanted. Five years of having no meaning and no sense of belonging. She continued to pack her bags before heading down stairs where a black couple were standing. She simply froze. She was going to be adopted by them!? They didn't look friendly that was for sure, they looked quite posh, Sydney swallowee "H..Hello..Im Sydney.." the girl appeared to stammer, slowly starting to sweat and shake, the couple exchanged glances before looking her up and down, judging her. /Oh crap!/ was all she thought, there was an eerie and awkward silence before the black woman spoke "She'll do nicely.." She smiled and Sydney relaxed, though the man still had a tense and disapproving look upon his face, he seemed to mutter "I suppose.."
With that I said my goodbyes and soon I was driving off to a new home, going towards a new adventure..Though this adventure was anything but a dream...
