Chapter 1

Grumbling, Hermione made her way through the hallway from History of Magic. The class, still taught by Professor Binns, was utterly boring. She didn't bother waiting for Harry and Ron. Ron was beginning to annoy her and she just wanted to be alone. Besides, she had the next period free. With those thoughts, she began to head up to the Heads dorms.

She had been rather excited when she pulled the head girl badge out of her Hogwarts envelope during summer break, though not as excited as Mrs. Weasley when she saw it. Squealing so high pitched, everyone cover their ears before congratulating Hermione. But her good mood quickly turned sour when Ron had made fun of her about it.

"Wow, head girl, what are gonna be, the next Percy?" He chuckled, not noticing the glares given to him by both Hermione and Percy himself. "Boring, Stuck up. A prat-" Hermione cut him off

"Percy isn't boring, stuck up or a prat" Hermione said to her boyfriend colder than she intended. "And I'm not either"

Percy smiled at his friend gratefully. Hermione smiled back at him. Ron just scowled and muttered under his breathe

He still continued to say offhand comment a month after school had started.

She passed by Theodore Nott, Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy. Each giving her a smile and a wave as she waved back. Theo was head boy and she didn't mind that he was. They used to study in the library together even before the war. He was never a blood purist. Especially since he knew that since a Muggleborn that bypassed them all in studies, there was no way they were inferior.

Theo had refrained from bringing Draco and Blaise into the dorms at the beginning, but when Hermione finally told him that they were his friends, so they could come in if he wanted them to, they all had actually hit it off.

Hermione learned that Draco was actually polite and witty when you got to know him and his father wasn't breathing down his neck. Blaise was a gentle person and was a great person to talk to. Those three had easily become some of her closest friends.

In the dorms, She had her own room to herself and Theo had his own as well, although they shared a bathroom. They also had a spare room and a common room area.

Hermione sighed in the hallway leading up to her dorm portrait. She nearly fell back as Peeves zoomed past her before stopping and backing up, giving her a mischievous smile and a tip of his hat. Peeves had done this every time he has seen her ever since he found out she saved Fred Weasley from the falling wall, pushing him out of the way, though breaking her leg in the process. Hermione gave Peeves a smirk of her own before continuing in her way.

"Pudoris habet cum significatione sanguis amicitia floreat" Hermione recited the Latin phrase to the portrait in front of the Heads common room. It was a rather long password, but Theo and her had decided on it because of it's translation, which was "Blood Purity has no meaning when friendship blooms".

Hermione walked through the hole and sat on the couch across from the fireplace. She heard deep laughter from one of the bedrooms down the hall. Probably from Fred and George. She told herself, knowing they had two free periods around this time.

After the war, the twins shop was barely left standing. It needed major repairs, and until it's done, they have no where to sell or create new prank materials. So when they got a Hogwarts letter inviting them back for a eighth year. They accepted, hoping to be able to sell and create in the castle.

Hermione allowed them, with Theo's permission of course, to use the guest bedroom as a work place. As the two boys have been considerably kinder to the bookworm since she saved Fred. She took Hogwarts: A History out from her bag and began to read when she heard a loud explosion from the same place the laughter had come from.

She launched herself off the couch, book thrown to the side, and ran to the guest bedroom. Throwing the door open before stopping and staring in shock. Instead of the lanky, lean, identical men she expected to find. She saw two little boys sitting on the floor covered in Hogwarts uniforms far too big. They, of course, were still identical, but short and a bit scrawny, freckles spread all over their cute faces. They looked up at her face with wide eyes and each gave her a sweet, innocent smile.

        "Oh shit!"
