"Shinsou," I dragged out his name while trudging my way through the gates of our school. "I don't wanna be here."

"Glad to know we're on the same boat."

"You're not helping," I groaned and stomped my feet.

We made our way to the classroom but before we could enter I stopped him.

"Toshi, what if they all stare at me?"

"You'll be fine. If anything they're worried 'cause you disappeared without a word."

"...I suppose."

He opened the door and pushed me through first. Almost immediately, the class became silent while Mina and Kaminari ran up and engulfed me in their embrace.

"F/N! We missed you!" Mina exclaimed.

"Yeah, where you been?" Kaminari asked.

"Oh um, nowhere special. Just wanted some alone time," I awkwardly chuckled. I look over at Bakugou but he seems unphased by my presence.

"You should've called or texted to at least let us know you were alright! We spent our whole weekend searching for you instead," Mina huffed.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn’t mean to trouble, you guys."

"Ah, it's all fine. All that matters is that you're okay," Kirishima walks up and smiles a toothy grin.

"Thank you g-" My words were cut off by a sleepy aura emitting from the exhausted teacher behind me. I then scurry to my seat and act like I was there the entire time.

"Okay, I was informed that in you're English class today you'll be doing presentations. You are recommended to choose your partners now so you're prepared later," Aizawa explained sounding quite groggy.

Iida raises his hand and asks, "How many partners are we working with?"

"I was told they'll be duo presentations, so two people per group."

Everyone scattered to make their groups. As I was about to ask the porcupine to be my partner, he stands up and walks to Kiri.

Oh okay, no biggie. I'll just ask Shinsou.
I turn around to ask him but he's talking to Hagakure.

Well um, I guess he's off the table now.

I scan the rest of the room to see everyone else in pairs. I sigh and face forward in my seat.

"Okay, if everyone is here today, there should be one person who doesn't have a partner correct?" Sensei questions the class.

I stand up and reply, "Yes sir, I don't have a partner."

He sighs and walks over to open the door to the classroom only to reveal a girl with pink locks and skin as clear as crystal, yet still darker than most everyone else in the class.

Wow, there's seriously not a single blemish on her.

"You're in luck Matoi, Miss Kotomine here will be your partners," he says, causing my eyes to widen.

"Hi, I'm Hanyu Kotomine. You can just call me Hanyu," she held out her hand with a smile.

I met her hand with mine and replied, "F/n Matoi, nice to meet you. Hold on, sorry." She looked at me a bit confused as I turn to the seat next to me and tap Kaminari's shoulder, gaining his attention. "Hey, move up to the seat in front of you would ya?" I asked.
