chapter 14

MASHIKYU CHAPTER 💕

Junkyu has been ignoring the feeling of emptiness for the past few weeks starting off when Hyunsuk mentioned their former group. He promised to himself that he will move on from that certain boy because he'll never come back, that he will not keep his promise to him. When he is with the other members, he hides what he truly feels so that they won't ask what's wrong with him. He hides what he feels especially with his bestfriend Jihoon.

His feet brought him to the rooftop of the mansion. He questioned to himself why the door going to the rooftop was open when Hyunsuk never unlocks it. It's now open so maybe it's okay to go there. He was not in the mood to practice or even just choose his song. What he wants is fresh air and have some time alone.

Mashiho was in the middle of his practice when he decided to go downstairs to get water when he saw someone going to the rooftop. No one showed them the rooftop and he didn't know that this part of the mansion exists so he followed whoever he saw going there. What he didn't expect was to see Junkyu there, facing his back on him.

"Kyu hyung, what are you doing here?" Mashiho asked and stand next to Junkyu and rest his arms on the railings, as Junkyu does.

"Shouldn't I be the one to ask you that?" Junkyu questioned back teasingly smiling but Mashiho noticed that the smile Junkyu gave him was not the same smile he gave him when they first met, this smile was a bit...sad.

"U-um,sorry hyung, it's just that I saw someone going here and I'm curious what it looks like here and I didn't know it was you who I followed. I think I should not be here, I think I'll just go back." Mashiho answered nervously, he was tied between asking Junkyu if he feels alright or just leave him alone.

"I'm just kidding Mashi. Hyunsuk hyung didn't want someone to go here that's why we didn't tell you all about this place and that's the reason why it's locked, but now that it's not, I guess it's alright for us now to go here. I don't even know why Hyunsuk hyung locks it here in the first place."

"O-ohhh, but what are you doing here, hyung?" Mashiho asked out of curiosity.

"Nothing really, just needed something to get off my mind." Mashiho observed how Junkyu seems out of his self. One thing that he's sure to tell is that Junkyu is facing some problems right now. He didn't know if it was related to the reason why the older was crying that night. Mashi wanted to know what's wrong but he didn't know if they're close enough to ask him about these things. Junkyu was looking at the sky as the sun sets. Mashiho observed him as he closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh, that's when he started letting out a soft sniffle. Mashiho panicked and went to his side.

"Hyung, what's wrong? Don't c-cry. Should I call Jihoon hyung?" Mashiho was about to go when Junkyu caught his hand and told him that he's ok.

Junkyu settled his self for a while before speaking up.

"Mashi, can I ask you something? Promise not to tell anyone, ok? Even Jihoon or Hyunsuk hyung, I just need one person to listen to me. I'll trust you not to tell others what I honestly feel right now. " Mashiho just gave him a nod as a confirmation.

"What kind of friend do you think I am?" Junkyu asked then looked at the breathtaking sunset in front of him. Mashiho did not think twice of his thoughts before answering to honestly tell Junkyu the truth of what he really thinks of him.

"You're the kind of friend who is easy to get close to. You make everyone around you feel comfortable. You're a hyung that I can rely on and you make me happy by just showing me your bright smile." Junkyu smiled at Mashiho's answer. He's glad that he makes people around him happy but deep down, he doesn't know if he'll remain the same, if he'll still be the Junkyu everyone knows. He didn't want to make his friends think of him differently so he wants to be stronger not only for himself, but also for them. But for that to happen, he needs someone to help him to forget all the sad memories and to listen to him, and that person is Mashiho, the boy who he thinks is cute the moment he laid his eyes on him and the one he secretly has a crush on. He thinks that Mashiho has this effect on him, he thinks that he'll listen to him whatever he tells him.
